Initially disappointed to find it was a carvery as it was very hot and last thing we wanted was a hot lunch but once we saw what was on offer when people walked past us back to the table we had to have one. Another reviewer has pointed out that this is the most meat they have had a carvery and I will back that up. Asked for "a bit of each" for the meats and got a huge portion of chicken, gammon and pork. Each well cooked and absolutely delicious and juicy. The rest of the veg and potatoes were the same and I can honestly say after having many in my time I do believe it was the best carvery I have had. One nice example of customer service was that the older lady serving or chef had heard me and my partner decided who got 2 of the 3 Yorkshire puddings that were left and were certainly not fussed but just after we,d returned to table after adding veg and gravy she arrived with a separate plate of another 3 yorkshires. Nice touch and appreciated greatly. Only reason for stopping from full 5 stars is that the inside of building does need decorating and very 80,s pub style but otherwise you can sit outside with a nice garden for families. Will definitely visit when in Weymouth again.
