its a real shame that venues that used to be family establishments and a place to be proud of having in your suburb, have turned into nothing but a money pit that are founded by the pokies and gaming areas. over priced food & pokie areas that are absolute rigged are the reason this establishment has been fully renovated and can afford to rip off their customers. Came here for a mates birthday, looked promising at first. Staff seemed to take forever with orders and even drinks to longer than 15 minutes to bring to the table when service wasn't even busy. Ordered a cheesy garlic pizza that came dry and cheeseless. They must grow and slaughter their livestock out the back because it took far too long for the food to come out, which itself was subpar. A great place for lunch, dinner or just drinks. The bistro has a decent menu with above average quality food. It also has an indoor playground for the kiddies although, its a bit small. Still, the kids seemed happy to play there. The lounge is great for a quite night with a small group. The occasional dj and live acoustic bands makes a good atmosphere. The menu in the lounge is limited but cheaper than the bistro as they serve differebt meals (the wagyu burger is my personal fav) they do cocktail nights and have plenty of comfortable seating. The sports bar is great. Its large, has plenty of seating including standing height tables with stools, lounge seating and the usual pub stools at tables. Plenty of big screen TV s to watch the races or sports and even has an outside betting machine. It also has two pool tables and an electronic dartboard for those not interested in gamblimg or just taking a break from it. They also have a large variety of Australian and international beers on tap including a few boutiques. The staff are friendly and there's plenty of parking. The only let down in my opinion is the lack of a large, shady outdoor beer garden for those hot summer days. read more

We have been to the Bridge Inn bistro a few times since the hotel was redeveloped. Normally the food and service are both excellent, however that wasn't the case last night. The service itself started well and was prompt and attentive. The problem began with the delay in delivering the food. The mains were delivered more than an hour after ordering. My partner ordered the crispy skin salmon with mashed potato. Unfortunately they ran out of mashed potato, the salmon was overcooked and the so called crispy skin was soft and limp. I decided to try the surf and turf special - medium rare scotch fillet with creamy garlic prawn sauce. The sauce was nice, but the steak was tough and chewy. Very disappointing at $34. As the evening went along the service was slower but the main problem was the quality of the food - will try again and hope we just had a bad night as the hotel is great. read more
