Kilconly consists of a church, a school, a post office and of course a pub. No Irish village would…read morebe whole without one. Stepping into this pub felt like stepping on the set of a John B Keane play, lots of farmers gathered round the open fire drinking their Guinness in deep thought, there also was a distinct smell of cow manure. The pub is divided into the lounge and bar, playing it safe and not wanting to endure the wrath of traditionalist Irish men, I went to the lounge. Honestly the bars in places like that are just for the old cranky men, I'd rather go where there is a bit of life. The Guinness was good, and then out of nowhere women and a big hulk of a farmer came in waves with plates full of sandwiches... Or as they say round those parts, 'Sangwiches'. The big farmer kept telling me to eat the beef sandwich, 'Whatcha think of the beef sangwich girl-ing?' 'Yeah it's great, thanks!' 'It's my animal, I just killed it this week.' No worry about tracing the source of my sandwich then. It was actually really good. This is a country pub, where you will get stared at for being a blow in but the craic was great. It's not fancy inside, just very basic. Oh and they have a defibrillator on the wall... That will give you an idea of the age and sex of their regular clientele.

OK I went in to this establishment on the 7th of December 2022 with two of my brothers, we asked…read morethe manager for a pint he gave us a pint but said there was a private party later, (which was lies) i knew the bar man michael very well he's a nice lad, we had 4 drinks and michael called me aside and said the manager told him to ask to go, so we went, no trouble no hassle we left sound, I went back to the bar on 11th of February 2023 by myself I asked for a pint, (michael wasn't there) the manager wouldn't give me a pint, he said I caused trouble there the last time, which was lies, he embarrassed me infront of everyone in the pub, he's not a nice person, he discriminates against Irish travellers, I would never recommend this place, avoid at all costs..
