Traumatic Experience…read more I truly hate to be the first to write a review for Hello Beautiful, but I had a worst-nightmare experience at this retailer. I am writing this review because picking out your wedding dress is a BIG DEAL and you want to make sure it is in experienced hands for alterations. That was not the case in my situation. I will start at the beginning, which was a wonderful experience. Living out of state, I was really set on getting a dress in Kearney because my mom, who has cancer, lives in Kearney and cannot travel. The owners were considerate and patient with us while I picked out the dress I wanted, which was in April 2016. At the time, the dress I wanted did not fit me where it clasped across the back, so they suggested ordering 2 sizes bigger. Note: I did say I planned on losing weight, but they convinced me that I really needed 2 sizes larger (size 16). A few months later (and 10+ pounds lighter) I flew in to try on the dress they had ordered. The dress was huge and I felt like I was drowning. At that fitting, they suggested putting in D cups to fill in the empty space between my body and the dress, then convinced me that with some quick-fix alterations, it would fit the next time I came in. I again expressed concern that it seemed way too big for me. This was PRIOR to any alterations. Since this is their profession though, I trusted their judgement and felt that they had the means to alter it, correctly. I came in a month later to find they did half of the alterations that they said they would. Unfortunately, the alterations that they did complete were awful. The back of the dress hung on me. I could fit both my arms in the back of my dress where it zipped up. When I sat down, by underwear was visible it was so saggy. They claimed it should "fit loosely" and that was how it was supposed to look. I requested to try on the original dress that I fell in love with the first time (a size 12) again...only to find that it fit me like a glove. I asked if there was any way I could exchange/swap their 12 for the 16, but I got a blank stare and a response of, "This is your dress, we can't sell it to anyone else because we already altered it." AKA, we messed up the alterations so badly we can't reverse them and sell it to anyone else. I was charged $100 for "alterations" that were a complete disaster. There was no sympathy from the person who did my alterations. Even after our wedding, I am affected by the experience and hope that this does not happen to anyone else. My request to the owners of this establishment is to not advertise or tell Brides-to-Be that someone on staff can do alterations when they clearly are not experienced or capable of this. The seamstress that I found, last second, had to take all of their "alterations" out and start from scratch. Seeing my dream dress all cut up in front of me, 5 days before the wedding, was traumatizing. She is a life saver and was able to alter the dress appropriately so it actually fit. It would be appreciated by future brides to give them a recommendation of someone in town to do their alterations, especially with how meaningful and expensive wedding dresses are. They have beautiful dresses here and the ladies know their fashion, but I would avoid alterations here at all costs!

First off, I'd like to say that Sher has a WONDERFUL personality! She is very personable and makes…read moreanyone feel extremely comfortable. She has bent over backwards for my wedding dress, and has made it even more beautiful than it started, which I didn't think was possible! On my second fitting, I brought along a bridesmaid and a groomsmen so they could see the dress. Not only did she also make them feel welcome and comfortable but she had them be involved in the fitting! She showed my bridesmaid how to attach the bussel and how to lace up my corset in the back. As far as quality of work goes, A+ all the way. She went above and beyond my expectations. She took out my zipper and installed a corset back into my dress. She custom made a strap for that corset so it would match the dress exactly. She installed a bussell into my dress, and did it in a way that would be easy for anyone to fix for me between the wedding ceremony and reception. And it wasn't just thrown together. She did a BEAUTIFUL job. I have to say, I was in awe when I first saw it. IT looked like a gorgeous waterfall in the back of my dress. Stunning. I am not one to usually tell her things I don't like about the dress, but she makes you feel SO comfortable, that I was open to saying what I didn't like, and she would give me a couple resolutions, tell me which one would look better, and allow me to choose which route I wanted to go. The price was the BEST price I could ask for! Her prices where the best, and i feel like I was getting more for my money! How many places can you honestly say that? If you are a person looking for her to make you look 10 times smaller than you are, or alter your appearance, she isn't for you... But if you are looking for a beautiful dress, with realistic alterations, she is definitely the person you should go to. I recommend her for EVERYONE.

ZERO STARS!!!! IF YOU READ ANY REVIEWS, READ THIS ONE!!…read more I looked everywhere for the perfect wedding dress and just couldn't find it. So I bought one that had everything I was looking for, it just needed to be shortened to a "tea length " and it would have been perfect and I spent well over a thousand dollars on this dress. I met with Sher and explained everything I wanted, my time frame and that money wasn't an issue. She said not to worry she was confident in her skills and would be able to complete the job. I had a professional tailor lined up in Denver but Sher was closer. That was my first mistake. The week before I am supposed to leave for my destination wedding, I called her to find out the progress ( I had called/text a few times before this to get an idea of the progress only to get excuses as to why she hadn't started). We agreed on a day for me to come do what she called a "fitting " so she could make the last of the adjustments. I showed up and NOTHING was done to the dress. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!! She explained to me that this is normal, it's how she does it! It is 4 days before I have to leave and she still had the f*king balls to say she could finish it the way I wanted it. Well I came back in 2 days and she still did NOTHING! At this point I am in literally in shock! I know I am not going to get my dream dress but I still needed it shortened. (I'm only 5'). She cut a half moon seam across the front, ruining the whole dress, after she said she could "lift the lace" from the tulle, pinning it back down once it was at the proper length, blending it with the waist seam that is hidden. (You can see a dark pink bunch of fabric in the picture at the waist where she just bunched up the fabric under the lace!) If I knew she was going to do something like this I would have never let her touch my dress. She had the nerve to ask me why I was upset!! When I explained, she said I was being disrespectful, I didn't even raise my voice! Needless to say it was still 4 inches to long. I did find a professional tailor as soon as my plane landed, he was even horrified at the work but was able to at least hide it somewhat. So unless you have money to waste, and you can handle emotional trauma AVOID THIS PLACE! I just refused to pay for the shitty work and service! It's always good practice to keep records of everything and make screenshots too. She directs you to her website to schedule your appointments and to put your instructions in, I did this and took a screenshot of it, good thing I did because she has deleted it!! Attached pictures are of the seam across the FRONT of my dress. Last picture is what it looked like when I bought it!
