It is a full service Marina on the Tennessee River in Florence Al.It has boat slips, fuel, and boat…read morerentals. It also has a very good restaurant,River Bottom Grill.Check it out online and check out the next The Working Man Review.

Come for the burgers, leave because of the incompetent waitresses…read more Let's get this straight. I'm only reviewing the restaurant. Not the marina. The only reason this place got two stars is because they have fantastic burgers. Too fantastic. I get the feeling they have something incredibly unhealthy in them. But they're very very tasty. They come with fries. Fries, as in barely plural. You might get eight if you're lucky. Honestly, the cheeseburgers are all I've tried here. They serve alk-ee-holic drinks, too. The main problem (and it's a big one) is the waitresses. Maybe they're understaffed. Maybe they're just plain dumb. At this point, it's a coin toss which one is true. I've waited 15 minutes before on service, while the waitress passes me 7 times, trying to not make eye contact. I get the feeling they get frustrated trying to tie their shoes in the morning. So here's the secret. If there's no one else eating there, they'll be friendly. Too friendly, in fact. I got sick of hearing the waitress give me a song-by-song rundown of the karaoke from the night before. Leave me alone with my cheeseburger. If they're busy, forget getting decent service. They're overwhelmed by more than two customers. "Have you two been helped?" "Well, considering you're the only waitress, that would be... no." The best way to enjoy this place is when you don't care how long you spend here. It's a beautiful view, completely surrounded by water. Stay and watch what my waitress called an "irraluscent " sunset. "Excuse me?" "Irraluscent. You know, all those colors." "Right. okay." They have live music and karaoke at night, which might be fun. I haven't checked it out yet. The service might seem more reliable if it's dark. And you're drunk. And suffering from third-degree burns from being out on the lake all day.

In the golden years of my youth, my family would come down to Ditto Landing to put in the boat and…read morehead out for some skiing on the Tennessee River. There are multiple boat ramps, so we never had to wait too long to get in and get out. There's plentiful trailer parking. As kids, we were always quite impressed by the forklifts that brought the boats out of dry storage and deposited them into the water. We dreamed about the days when our family would be able to do that, rather than having to deal with the boat trailer. When you're 10, all the effort of getting the boat on and off the trailer doesn't seem worth the fun on the water. We also camped at the camp grounds a few times here. There's not much too them - better if you've got an RV. The main draw is the proximity to the river. You can fish off the rocks, but we never managed to catch much ourselves. This used to be way down on the edge of town, but with the new subdivisions going in, it's really not that far away. There are also slips available to rent, with quite a few sailboats and the like. And spaces that are good for events - nice views of the water and good sized. We've been to several anniversary parties here. Seeing as it's the closest access to the water not on Redstone Arsenal, it's a good place to put in to enjoy some time on the water. #Yelp365 - 106/365

I grew up bank fishing at Ditto more times than I can count. For bank fishing it is just fine. We…read morehad our Senior Skip Day at Ditto, also, which was big fun back in the early 80s. My sorority rented the small pavilion for a picnic reunion which was a good time, like Angela said, "in the golden years of my youth," :D Since Mom lives around the corner, she and I, (and my fav. Sister) have driven Mom to and around Ditto to stop and eat lunch, enjoying the view of the TN river, and just take Mom on a "joyride." Yesterday, Mom and I did a Ditto visit and, sweet 88 year old Mom summed it up as she was reading the ancient "beautification award" outside the larger pavilion, she said "beautification award - for what?!?!?!" :D Ditto has always had so much potential to be a true destination for **so** long and it just falls short. I can't count the times local news would announce a restaurant coming to Ditto and then the masterplan to develop Ditto into a destination (uploaded to the photos) was so exciting! These great plans never seem to materialize. I get it - it floods; however, the masterplan seemed to have mitigation plans for that. I attended an event (wine tasting maybe) in large pavilion in the 80s and it looks like, as of yesterday, the pavilion has had zero updates and hardly much upkeep since then. I didn't bother walking in to get a look see, it was just unappealing from the parking lot, which is in crappy shape, too. I'm happy we have Ditto, and it is a nice place for a shady picnic by the marina, and the smaller Winstead Pavilion was a nice area for my sorority picnic/reunion. It's covered (of course) and has at least one ceiling fan, with easy parking. I just wish Huntsville's masterplans materialized more often than they seem to, and again, wish Ditto was more than a harbor, campsites, RV hookups, a small children's playground, ample fishing from the banks, pavilions, and dry docks.
