While checking out this strip, my daughter and I ran into this store. I'm a sucker for Hello Kitty…read moreso when she caught my eye through the front door, I knew I was going to have fun here. Walking in, I think the best way to describe this joint is chaotic. Chaotic in the sense that there's a ton of stuff shoved in a very small space. They have a little of everything here. It's quite.... interesting. You have trinkets, blind boxes, key chains and lingerie. The lingerie really threw me off honestly. It was the last thing I would expect from a store like this. We did find a couple things in the store to take home with us when we had back to Idaho. There is a 10 dollar min unless you are paying cash. The cashier is there to do her job so don't expect too much customer service. If you're looking for Sanrio type items than this is the joint to hit up. It is quite overwhelming trying to check everything out. As long as you're patient and is willing to take the time to check everything out than you should have fun for you! But for me, I did have fun looking at everything at first but the more I got into the store itself, it made me uncomfortable due to the cluttering of it.

It's possible the owners don't know but still very disappointing as I would expect a hobby/enthusiast store to have legit items. If anyone was selling fake smiskis in Utah I would expect it to be those kiosk vendors at the mall, not this place. I guess life can be surprising.

I love this place! I've been wanting to stop by every time I drive by on 2100 S, and I'm so glad I…read morefinally did. It's a great antiques store that's been open about a year and a half, run by an owner who is interested and passionate about the industry of antiques and collectibles. The store is packed full of rusty collectibles like farm equipment, old signs, some housewares and a small rack of vintage clothing, but mostly patina and rust, as the store name suggests, but all mostly clean and very nicely organized which made it easy to browse and look through (i.e. you're not scared of something toppling over when you're trying to look at something behind it). I loved the collection of vintage saddle blankets, antique French wire laundry baskets, vintage and homemade light fixtures, and old ladders. The store feels more masculine than some antique stores, and doesn't have a ton of housewares, which makes it fresh and interesting. There are large items out in the parking lot too. Owner Matt Binyon was in the store when I visited - he's friendly and interested in helping you find what you're looking for. He said some of the items in the store are booth rentals from other collectors and recommended some places I could look for bigger furniture pieces. He also owns American Rust & Patina in Layton, which has more furniture and Annie Sloan Chalk Paint, and I need to check out. This is a great asset to Sugarhouse! So glad it's here.

I had to look at everything! You don't want to miss anything cool. You got funny cards, lunch boxes, scratch and sniff stickers to movie themed books. I wanted it all! My favorite items were the naughty candy boxes at the register! I was with a family friend and I didn't want her to see me buying the candy boxes but man I wanted one. I did find a neat Harry Potter sticker book for my friend. It has 934 stickers to this book. I'm very excited to give it to her! She is a due hard Harry Potter lover! The gentleman that was working behind the counter was really sweet. He showed me a couple other Harry Potter themed items they had. I thought it was kind of him to show me something I could have missed. He rang me up. Wrapped my friend's book in nice tissue paper and thanked me several times. I have a feeling this could be a locally owned business. I could be wrong but the costumer service here screams locally owned. The salesman was attentive and kind. It was a different kind of customer service. Either way, it was great! I don't know if I'll be back in the area but if I am, I'm definitely coming back to this store to check out their new merch.

(And probably don't need) Go here for the funny, different, unique items. If you come in looking for a particular thing, good luck. But coming in with an open mind, that's where the magic happens. I ended up with three different greeting cards. Only one that I planned to use immediately. Two others that would definitely be used in the future. All of them slightly inappropriate, which was great. I hate to be this person, but I did get the feel that things were priced a little high. Found myself surprised by the price for items and thinking the price wasn't worth the item.
