We each have that one store or place where we are like a kid in a candy store. Maybe for some it's Cabelas or Best Buy or even Victoria's Secret. For me it's Brickology. I have seeing their Lego displays. Those glorious table displays meticulous detailed and displayed. It's a fantasy of mine to one day have my Lego's triumphantly removed from their plastic sealed bin to be finally free and displayed properly. You see, I already have it all planned out. The Lego Indiana Jones sets would share their desert landscape with the Lone Ranger sets. Off the coast would be Jack Sparrow and his Black Pearl dueling with the British Navy and his fellow pirates. On the other side, well. I'll just stop here and continue with my review. Brickology has Lego displays but they also sell Lego's and they are reasonably priced. One wouldn't need to trek to Toys R Us or those other guys to get a particular set. The staff is very knowledgeable and there's more. They offer Lego classes and they can host Birthday parties. The classes are more STEM Engineering classes using Legos. The Birthday party hosting offer an unique way for each kid to build and keep their Lego set and prices are affordable. Brickology is located a couple of doors down from Grinkers Grand Palace and worth the visit

If you like Legos or your kid (or, in my case, spouse) likes to build, you need to get here. Guess where I purchase goodies for my nephew? And my husband? I guess I really can do all my gift shopping here. Bricknowlogy has an outstanding Lego selection, very friendly & knowledgeable service, and very competitive pricing. They have everything from giant sets to single minifigs and everything in between. I wonder if they'd let someone in their 40s have their birthday party there? I bet my husband would love that. They have classes, too, and a Lego Master Builder on staff! The coolest thing is that they can make CUSTOM mini figures.... like with someone's name on it. They can also print on the Lego bricks themselves. Very cool.

After we got in line to check out, my son got upset because, well...he's 2, and the manager or whoever he was, came up to us like something was wrong. As I'm struggling to hold my 40lb 2yr old to comfort him, the guy asked if he was mad about something or was hurt. I already had judgy eyes on me and whispering from other customers and this guy furthered my embarrassment by doing this. I'm sure he was trying to be helpful but it didn't make me feel better when he drew more attention to an already embarrassing situation. Honestly, I don't think we'll go back just after this experience.

I'll be honest, it's not my favorite place to shop but when you artsy, crafty, or seasonal decor,…read moreHobby Lobby as it. The store at CentrePointe is huge with all sorts of seasonal decor or maybe you're just in the mood to make everything in your bathroom resemble Pismo Beach. Looking for sand dollars dishes, yeah they have it. Here's a PRO-TIP. Their website has coupons and or coupon codes. Make sure to have them on your phone or use the mobile app son you can get a discount on top of the already discounted specials. The staff is friendly and very polite. On one occasion, I was looking for white Christmas bulbs and didn't see any stocked on the shelves. I did see them stocked on the very top shelf. An employee Roberto was looking at my perplexed face and said, " I can get those down for you. How many do you want?" Kudos to Roberto for recognizing an issue and acting on it before me or anyone else pestering him to go get the ladder. Young man, Roberto, that intuitive customer service will take you places. As for the moss, paint by numbers Gnomes, picture frames and thr assorted comic book decor for any Marvel or DC man cave, Hobby Lobby has it If you're lucky enough to have the cash on hand to take advantage of the discounts, do it and have no regrets because it won't be there long. Well, maybe the Christmas Chihuahua dressed in a purple robe may still be there in February.

We have gone through a few of the Blokees series so it was cool to see that they have the newest series available. This is my first time in and I was overwhelmed by all the fun things to look at. My toys of choice is Hello Kitty, anything cute and plushies. I did see an option of Hello Kitty figures but I already have them. I was mesmerized by the cute boba and cotton candy plush. My favorite section of the store was towards the front where the smaller toys and gadgets were at. I love playing with little things and there's quite a few options available. My husband ended up getting a few Blokees blind boxes. I got a squishy boba toy. It was just Valentine's day so I didn't have the heart to ask my husband for the 50 dollar plush. I will have to grab it the next time we are in if it's still there. I would say this could have been a flawless experience but the customer service wasn't there. What confuses me is when people work at fun stores like a toy shop like this, a bakery or candy shop and their customer service is meh. With such a fun venue, good think that someone who is checking you out is happy and smiling. Or maybe I'm just expecting too much out of someone. This toy store is dope. Lots of fun things to see, touch and buy. There's a great variety of options so you're guaranteed to find something for that special someone. It makes my husband happy so that's a great bonus point. Maybe the next time we come in, there might some Hello Kitty options and the customer service will be friendlier.
