I got an email response right away back saying that they would love to donate Legos to my classroom.

I love this location for both donating and shopping! The employees are genuinely awesome people and…read moreI enjoy talking to them every time I come in (which has become a weekly thing haha). Donations When I did my last drop-off about a week ago, the gentleman running the donation area rushed over to help me with my bags and then gave me a receipt that was already filled out with the date/signature. The entire process took about 30 seconds - easiest donation drop-off ever. Shopping I've found so much great stuff here in almost every department (clothes, furniture, home decor, etc.). It's also more reasonably priced than other thrift stores in the area, and more organized as well. Customer Service The donation drop-off guys are really friendly and efficient - they go out of their way to make it an easy process. The store employees are equally amazing. Every time I go up to the register with a big pile of stuff, I'm apologetic and flustered about how much ringing up they have to do - but they're ALWAYS super nice and helpful. They literally never have a bad attitude or get annoyed, even when I take a bit of time to pack up my items or change my mind last-minute. I also appreciate the fact that they go out of their way to help me organize my stuff so I can get to my car easily - I'm a small person with some big purchases haha, so I really appreciate that extra effort they put in to make my life easier. Truly 10/10 customer service all-around!

I was able to find two formal dresses that I deconstructed and created different designs from at a very reasonable price. A times there's been debate with others in my family regarding the high prices for things like furniture or knickknacks. I also miss the specialty room that they've seem to now merge everything together. All in all a great location for a good cause. The people who work here are helpful and nice and very patient! They also seem to appreciate and take donations quickly and happily!

I'm downsizing and therefore getting rid of a lot of gently used items. I had multi drop offs over…read morethe weekend. The staff generally were friendly and sort of helpful. They direct you to where the items go and if requested will help with unloading your stuff. They do provide receipts if you want one. The parking area towards the donation side is a bit tight and can get busy over the weekend. I want to give a shout out to Isaac who was so pleasant and very helpful. He helped unload my car with so much energy and friendliness- makes you want to keep finding things to donate just because of how pleasant he made the process. In comparison, I dropped off my donated items this morning (Monday) and Chris was rather surly at first. He chided me for not parking in the lane - there was no one near me and I was there right when they opened. I re-parked my car to be sure I was between the lines! I asked for assistance and he finally did help after I made about 3 trips back and forth to my car. Night and day in the help service at Goodwill. Overall they do have nice staff and do make the donating process simple and fast.

They removed the fitting rooms. This makes buying clothes from here not feasible. This extremely…read moredisappointing and honestly ridiculous. The strict seven day exchange policy does not remedy the inability to try on clothes in the store because it is difficult to find time to make it to this Goodwill when you work or go to school full-time. This shifts so much more burden to people just trying to buy affordable secondhand clothes. The response from Goodwill is just a poor attempt to frame the removal of fitting rooms as a positive.

IMHO Today's Black…read moreFriday deal was 40% off on donated goods! We weren't sure which items would be considered donated, but we figured we'd find out if and when we found a "treasure" to take home. I found a box of picture hangers but there was no price on it! This happens way too often here, unfortunately. It wouldn't hurt to ask at the register, so I held onto it. My husband found a bag of 12 pairs of work gloves for $5. He grabbed two different bags. Before I could even ask at the register, the friendly cashier had already inputted $5 for the box of picture hangers! That was the most I was willing to pay, so I was very happy. With the added work gloves, and minus 40% off the total, we got a great Black Friday deal!!!

Death Restore Honor…read more One of three Restore locations in the Bay Area (Oakland & Concord) that benefit Habitat for Humanity's mission of building homes throughout the US and the world. The Good: *Huge selection of used furniture *Used appliances like refrigerators *Friendly service *Also sell lots of brand-new and used construction supplies like paint, tape, light bulbs, and other miscellaneous stuff donated by contractors who had purchased too much of one thing or another for their project(s). *Rewards program *Accept CashApp, as well as CCs *Keep an eye out for 50%off items The Meh: *No delivery options available *No clothes, books, or kitchen stuff like a traditional thrift store just furniture and construction supplies. *Area is a little sus, so make sure to lock your car. The Ugly: *We stopped at another Thrift store beforehand, and Restore's prices are a bit higher than the average. Conclusion: Great place to get slightly used furniture at decent prices and help keep more stuff out of the landfills.
