You've got all your convenience store goodies, hot sandwiches, hot dogs, pizza ready to eat, soda fountain, snacks, coffee, sunglasses, dozens of cold bottled or canned soft drink and beer options, cigarettes, cosmetics, toiletries, home goods, little knickknacks you didn't know you needed, you know what I mean. But under the same roof, it's an honest to goodness little grocery store too. Travelers take note...not only is there a clean public restroom, but they will also cheerfully let you USE THEIR TELEPHONE in this area where there is NO CELL SERVICE. And I mean, cheerfully - not grudgingly, not condescendingly, but in a manner that truly speaks 'happy to help.' If you're gonna get stuck in the boondocks, this is where you want to get stuck. Trust me on that. If you're passing through, make this your pit stop. You'll be glad you did.

There's a lot to see and it's virtually the only place in the area to stop outside of the visitor centers for the local trails. We thought the fried foods were all delicious, particularly the Mac and cheese bites. The sandwich was a bit meh. Nice selection of bottled drinks and things you might have forgotten for your trip. We did not mind waiting but we felt bad for the harried pace for the staff. The first day we went there were two employees, but the second day, only one. There were some things we wanted to try but we didn't want to have others wait longer. Pricing was very fair. It seemed a little dirty but once again, under staffed. Recommend, particularly if you can go less popular times.
