One of the best chiropractors around. Came in with ongoing issues with a lifetime of back problems related to my scoliosis. Dr Short told me I have one leg that is shorter than the other, prescribed a heel lift to correct the uneveness which was the underlying cause of my scoliosis, and gave me a series of treatments to bring my spine back into alignment. That has been over a year and a half ago and today is the first time I have been back with any back pain. Just a couple of adjustments and I am on my way again!! Dr, Short uses a non force adjustment method with a tool called an activator which applies a specific amount of force directly to the discs of the spine that taps them back into proper alignment. Unfortunately i feel compelled to update my former review. Brian short claims he's a" Shaman". He crossed many professional and apropriate boundaries. I paid $1000.00 for 2 pairs of orthotics : he used a foam mold to measure my feet claiming that this created custom orthotics : It was a scam and the insoles did not help and were not custom. I was warned that he is not professional,I wish I had listened.Please be cautious here. read more

I have had two great chiropractors in my life and Dr. Short is one of them. When I moved here from MD two years ago the person I felt was going to be irreplaceable was my chiropractor. His style and expertise was very rare to find so I thought I would have to accept chiropractic care that was a much lower standard. Luckily I found Dr. Short and have maintained the level of care I was used to. He treats the whole body and has a way of assessing the whole body to make sure the patient is in proper alignment. He doesn't just treat the spine. This is so important! He is very intuitive in his approach and I always leave feeling like I am in total alignment. I've been seeing Dr. Short for a year for pain management in my neck, shoulders, lower back, left leg, and feet, mostly my back. Through his targeted activator chiropractic treatments, I have been able to get back to and maintain a healthy lifestyle of hiking and biking. When I first saw him I couldn't walk without significant pain, within 7 months I hiked Wheeler Peak. He suggested what shoes and inserts to wear, which bed and pillow to use, and which supplements to take for nerve and joint health. I purchased most of his suggestions at nearby stores REI, Mattress Firm, and Sprouts. TEN STARS!! Doc Short is an AMAZING healer! I fractured my spine several years ago, which led to progressive chronic low back pain and severe and debilitating sciatica. I had seen other chiropractors over the years, but was either unimpressed with results or was handled too roughly. I am a hiking guide by trade, and by the end of last October, I was unable to stand or walk for more than a few minutes at a time. By December, I felt I was facing the end of my guiding career, and the possibility of having to undergo the spinal fusion surgery the ortho docs were saying I needed. A friend referred me to Dr. Short, and when I called him and told him my situation, he had me come in for a consult.
