I had the good fortune of meeting Dr. Brian Yonks in early 2023 after attending a wellness meeting. His careful attention to detail and methodical analysis of my condition immediately impressed me and demonstrated what makes him such an exceptional chiropractor. In 2019, I was diagnosed with FSHD, or facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy, a muscle-wasting disease for which there is currently no cure. Although gene therapies are in development, managing this illness also requires being proactive and taking an active role in one's own care. Dr. Yonks and his talented staff consistently strive to be better than they were yesterday. Their professionalism, compassion, and commitment have made a meaningful difference in my experience. It is with great honor, respect, and without reservation that I write this testimonial and recommend Dr. Brian Yonks and his team. Brian Jude Loiacono read more

Long story short: if you're searching for help, Dr Yonks will help you treat the root of your issue! I was in a terrible car accident in 2006. Residual neck problems since and progressively worse migraines. The last year I've suffered with 2 debilitating migraines per week and was searching for non-medicinal relief. In the past 6 weeks since being treated by Dr Yonks - NOT ONE MIGRAINE. He treats the issue, not the symptom. Haven't felt this good in years! (Make sure you do your homework he gives you! It's not a one-sided deal. You need to be a part of your wellness.) read more

I usually do not review businesses or services (mainly a traveling restaurant guy as you can see in my status) ...... unless I feel it would really give back to fellow Yelper's or to highlight EXCEPTIONAL services or business. So here it is: I have been going to Dr. Yonks for a few years now, and so is my wife and kids. We are on a hybrid plan of insurance and "co-pay"/high deducible. Dr. Yonks and his staff make this seamless and easy and flexible. He has brought me through multiple injuries, a knee operation, and a MOST excruciating L3/L4 herniated disc issue and this was JUST in 2019!! He is more a physical life coach/trainer. I am a swimmer, cyclist, and racer/cruiser sailor and very frequent traveler on crappy planes, through airports and sitting and walking sometimes over 100,000 steps a week!!! Dr. Yonks and his office keeps my now 60 year old chassis swimming a few miles a week, cycling 20 to 50 miles a week, weight training and sailing for hours a week in season...........and with not only no pain, but great recovery and rehabilitation from self induced (smile) injuries or just plain old age. read more

I normally refrain from doing reviews, but I felt compelled to do this one. Specifically, I met Dr. Yonks at a wellness program being held at my community's clubhouse early in the year, at that time, he laid out in great detail the essential aspects of eating well and overall health management. Having a very rare form of Muscular Dystrophy FSHD, I was so impressed with his presentation, and made an appointment as a result. Dr. Yonks extensive chiropractor experience showed wonderful results early on. Furthermore.......his talented staff are all equally charming and excellent in every way, "the perfect compliment". Therefore, it is a sincere pleasure to write this review. A+++++++++++++++++++ Sincerely, Brian Jude Loiacono read more

I have had lower back issue since 2007. I had times where I could not go to work, and I don't take a sick day for anything, but since I have been going to Dr. Yonks, I've been pain free. It's great to be able to work out again. read more

I started going to Dr. Yonks a few years ago when I had a problem with my back and I couldn't walk. He is knowledgeable and kind and knows what he is doing. After a while, I stopped because I was fine and went back again a few months ago because I was experiencing some pain which is now gone. I am on a monthly maintenance program. Recently my husband was diagnosed with deterioration of the disks in his neck. He only had 1 treatment so far and couldn't believe that he felt so much better. He will continue until the pain in his neck/shoulders subsides. read more

The worst chiropractor I have been to. Luckily I stopped going here. I felt my back was getting worse going to him.

One thing that stands out about Dr. Yonks is his genuine interest in the well being of all his patients. His use of a broad range of treatment options demonstrates his desire to provide effective treatment consistent with his patients' long-term health. He also provides instructional opportunities for patients to learn good health routines. He provides intimate instructional sessions at his office as well as video and lecture presentations at large community centers free of charge. An outstanding feature of his treatment technique is to prepare you for his adjustment. The application of moist heat and use of electronic muscle stimulation (with your approval) for about fifteen minutes prior to treatment is a great help in relaxing and healing. Dr. Yonks' also offers "family plans" to help make regular maintenance treatments affordable. You will not be disappointed! read more

Dr. Brian Yonks and his staff are kind and courteous, and do their very best to help you feel better, and as comfortable as possible while you are there. He uses a variety of methods, heat/ice and stim as well as massage. But also importantly, he educates you on your condition and the ways in which you can help to improve it yourself with exercise and stretching. He is also concerned with healing the body as a whole, not just the spine. So, I have taken classes with him, at no cost, to learn about weight loss and healthy eating, as well as trigger point therapy. read more

I have visited many chiropractors since childhood regularly for maintenance and find Dr. Yonks to be among the very best of them, giving the best gentle adjustments and knot relieving massage. For years he had been recommended to me by various massage therapists and friends in the area and I wish I had started with him sooner. I was T-boned in my drivers door in June of 2018 and suffered a concussion and neck injury when my head smacked into the window. I was barely able to turn or bend my neck without pain, not to mention the nausea, headaches, dizziness and inability to sleep. I was extremely frightened that my once active lifestyle was lost. Dr. Yonks was very reassuring that I would eventually be okay and that he would be a able to help me. In addition to his kind empathetic demeanor, he is patient and knowledgeable, helping me to understand what is exactly wrong and how together we will attain my best possible health once again. I never feel rushed or afraid to ask questions. He is constantly reassuring and optimistic and respectful and kind to all his patients and office staff. Everyone that works there seems happy and cheerful and has worked there for a long time, which means consistent quality care for me from people who are happy to be there to help me get better. His practice is all inclusive with massage therapy, acupuncture and nutritionists. Yonks genuinely loves what he dose and I would venture to say he is not just your ordinary chiropractor but a true healer providing the tools and the knowledge for you to achieve your best possible health. read more

I initially went to Dr. Yonks because I recalled his name from classes given in the area. The first visit I was greeted by friendly, knowledgable staff. After my exam and initial treatment, he carefully explained what was going on. He explained how I would learn exercises to I can help my condition while at home. He has classes in the office on different topics for free. I have always been extremely satisfied with his treatments. read more

I went to Dr. Yonks office pretty desperate. I had recently been diagnosed with occipital neuralgia and had been to several appointments with my neurologist to get nerve blocker treatments. These would leave me pain free for approximately 10 minutes after a process of 20 injections to my scalp and eye socket. I was told there was no cure and the only method of treatment was pain management via drugs. I refused to go that route, knowing the damage and destruction pain killers can cause. Fortunately, I conducted my own research and found that people suffering for occipital neuralgia found relief from chiropractors. That led me to Dr. Yonks office. Since I had never been to a chiropractor before, it's safe to say, I was skeptical. He sat with me for about an hour as I explained what I had been through. He assured me that I would respond extremely well to treatment. However from the level of pain I was in, I was doubtful. Now here I am, 2 months later and I'm 100% pain free. It wasn't immediate, but under his care the pain dissipated over the course of about 12 treatments. I barely remember how horrible and debilitating it was. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Yonk to anyone suffering from any type of neuralgia. He was a life saver! read more

Lovelovelove this office and highly recommend! Dr. Yonks' staff is friendly and accommodating. Dr. Yonks is wonderful, personable, and knowledgeable about all aspects of health - everything I want my chiropractor to be for me. Dr. Yonks also treats my four children - them for their overall well-being, me because I've had back, hip , and neck pain for so long. I used to look like a graphic of evolution - you know the one where there's a monkey walking that gradually becomes an upright man walking? That was me from my bedside to the bathroom in the mornings. Since being treated by Dr. Yonks, I've been walking upright from the moment I step out of bed and feel great throughout the day. My back, hips, and neck haven't been this free of pain for this long in over 20 years. read more
