They explained what they were quoting and there could be unknown repairs (such as new foam which was not unexpected due to age) they may find once they started the restoration work. I believe a professional would take the extra care to requote to ensure the end product was good and not just a "cheap" job. The work is quality and the pieces are beautiful.
