I'm writing as her husband, who handled communication with the clinic after her condition worsened. My wife received care between April and August 2025. Following her adjustment, she developed alarming symptoms and went to the ER, where she underwent bloodwork, a CT scan, and IV treatment. Multiple medical professionals advised her to discontinue chiropractic treatment immediately. Andrew Smyth made statements suggesting that his treatment had affected blood flow to her brain and implied that, if not corrected by him, the situation could require brain surgery. These comments were deeply distressing and raised serious concerns about the appropriateness of his communication. This experience caused significant stress, expense, and ongoing health concerns for my wife. I'm sharing this information so others can make an informed decision before seeking care here.

As my injuries are usually ligament strains and tears from active use, as well as occasional back issues, he focuses on soft tissue remedies like pressure release and Gaston Technique. I just experienced a tear in ligament in my ankle and he was able to push the bands back into place to promote the ligament to reattach, promoting a speedy recovery. I only wish I had known about his skills years ago when I experienced permanent nerve damage following a disc herniation. Rather than just sitting around waiting for surgery, I could have gone to him immediately so he could at least reduce the severity of the problem. The problem is that I was issued an extra vertebra in my spine, in the lower back. The curve of the spine, in that location, is deeper and my midback tries to keep me balanced anyway. But the upper back and my neck get involved and each becomes a bit out of place to make up for the design quirk right at the base of the whole spine. Surgery is not an option ! It has never been an option. Chiropractic care has been the answer to the stiff muscles and irritated nerves that go with that extra little bone sending mis-alignment up the whole spine. Dr. Nehra's plan of care has exceeded that of all the others which my job transfers have brought me nearby. They were each very good practitioners. But I repeat: he is at the top. They squeezed me into their schedule, which I appreciated at first but ended up waiting about 45 minutes past my appointment time to see the doctor. If I had known it would be that long I would have asked to come in on a different day. The doctor had the manner of someone who'd shotgunned five Red Bulls paired with the ego of a surgeon. Aside from the general exam and spinal manipulation, there was a bunch of "therapy" in the forms of tugging, pushing, and whacking. I kind of felt like I was being Punk'd. This extra "therapy" was what they had charged me $50 in addition to my expected copay upon check-in. I thought they were mistaken but they insisted, and it was after a long day at work so I figured I'd just pay it and deal with it later. After later checking with my insurance company and seeing that they had reimbursed the office for the "therapy," I contacted the office to have them look into it. I had to bring them my insurance statement. A couple of weeks passed and I called to ask about the matter, and the woman on the phone curtly said, "You were right. A check is in the mail." I received a check a few days later. Just a check. No note, no apology for the inconvenience. The whole experience was just gross.

The receptionist, Louise, Is a sweetheart and has been very helpful with filling out paperwork and getting me appointments that fit my schedule.
