Then they tried to charge me $170: $100 for the cleaning and $70 for the x-ray they didn't take. They spoke to me rudely, trying to convince me it was legal to charge for a service they never provided. They even tried to make me pay $135 by lowering the price of an X-ray they didn't perform from $70 to $35. What a joke! It used to be a nice office, but when Dr. Rosenberg sold the business, it became a place where patients forced to pay for fillings and other procedures that were completely unnecessary.

I had a great dentist when I first moved to Hollywood 14 years ago. But unfortunately he sold his practice and the new group was awful. Than a friend referred me to his dentist and that didn't work out either. So with a Groupon I found Dolphin Dental a year ago. I was very impressed with the location on the corner shopping plaza of Hallandale Beach Boulevatd and Federal Highway. The offices are new and the equipment is all state of the art. That is a first for me. I was taken at my appointment time. That alone is a very big deal as my time is limited so I can't afford to sit there all day. So my exam I had a panoramic xray as well as my full mouth. The dentist himself did the cleaning and that impressed me as he was very good. He told me what I already knew that I have good teetth. Next test I send the rest of my family. My son and husband both on seperate appointments go and come to the same conclusion that they are good. Now for my husband who at the time had different insurance and is very skeptical loved it than I knew we found a new dentist. Now since this is my review I reserve the last star plus or minus for my next visit in 6 months. Let"s see if they continue to be great and on time, and I have a cavity to be filled. So I will let you know. So far my visit today was covered by insurance and I particularly liked was that no more tortuous forms had to be filled out that alone gave them a star.

I had an 11 am appointment and was told to arrive at 10:45 am to fill out forms. I arrived…read morepromptly, completed the forms, and was quickly taken to the dental chair where they did a full mouth X-ray. Up to this point, this is totally normal. Here is where things get weird. I waited for more than 80 minutes without the dentist (or any staff member) ever stopping by. When I went to inquire at the front desk when I can expect to be treated, all I received was attitude. So I demanded my X-rays which they printed out a literal black and white 8.5" X 11" paper and told them I have no intention of using their dentist. They charged the insurance for the X-ray (which is fair and they did perform) and an examination (Nobody ever examined me -- this is total fraud). I don't trust this clinic, their staff, or their dentists (although in all fairness I never met them). STAY AWAY!!!

She told me that they didn't accept that insurance,. This was a huge waste of time. I asked him the guy at the front desk. Shouldn't you have checked this before bringing me here, and he very currently and rudely said no. And then proceeded to tell me that if I wasn't happy with that I can leave that's exactly what we did. we will never be coming to this place again, and will make sure everybody knows this place is very rude and unprofessional. I came to Hallandale Medical Center for a dental appointment to get a filling done, but…read moreunfortunately the experience was disappointing. The office itself looks fine, but the wait time was far too long even though I had a scheduled appointment. It felt disorganized, and no one updated me on how much longer I would have to wait. When I finally saw the dentist, the care felt very rushed. The filling was placed quickly, but I didn't get clear answers to my questions, and overall I felt like I wasn't really listened to. The staff at the front desk was polite, but not very helpful when it came to paperwork or explaining next steps. On top of that, the billing process was confusing, and I didn't feel things were clearly explained regarding my insurance coverage and costs. For a medical center, I expected more professionalism, better communication, and a smoother process overall. Hopefully they can improve both patient care and office management, but based on this visit I can't recommend it.
