He is very competent. Do not mistake happy talk and smiling faces as a sign of effective health care. He works very hard to make his patients feel comfortable and knows a lot more than he puts on. I have been battling two health conditions since 2008 so I have been studying holistic remedies in addition to medical protocols for over 15 years. My first consultation with Dr. Paul was refreshing. He spent over an hour with me asking me detailed questions about my medical background, lifestyle, symptoms, goals, and more. He never looked at his phone and no staff interrupted us. I am a detail guy so I have a LOT of questions. He answered them patiently, provided me with 3rd-party resources to research on my own and he gave me options while providing me with his recommendations. My endocrine system is compromised so I require daily medication for my thyroid and hormone treatments. I have Colitis and I also battle chronic sinus symptoms. I have had a dry cough for decades and typically had annual or quarterly sinus infections growing up. On average, I have needed at least one round of antibiotics annually. Dr. Paul is the only person that helped me get rid of my dry cough and I have not needed an antibiotic in 4 years. He taught me how to proactively avoid sinus infections. Much of what the average person deals with is due to our poor diet and lifestyle habits. Most doctors don't have enough time to really get to know their clients and help them treat to the root cause. I can text, call or email Elevated Health anytime I want and within 24 hours, someone will respond. Oftentimes, it is Dr. Paul himself who calls, texts or emails me back. I can swing by with or without an appointment anytime during business hours and they can almost always squeeze me in. Elevated Health's entire staff has been knowledgeable, professional, kind, helpful, and resourceful. EH uses great SMS software making it easy to communicate, ask questions and make appointments. They have a clean, modern clinic, filled with supportive amenities and a warm environment that is inviting and relaxing. In addition to Dr. Paul, I am really impressed with their team of qualified and professional employees. I have really enjoyed working with Yvette, Daniel and Heather over the years in addition to many others. I love that Dr. Paul is always educating himself on the latest products, services and technologies to help us maintain our optimal health. Furthermore, the care that was shown to me was extraordinary. I don't think I've had the same experience with anyone else. I really liked how they charted my history and Dr. Le used a white board, which is so brilliant because I could visually see all of my options (versus remembering them). It was during this time we interviewed his PA (gosh we miss her so much) and his office manager, Brandon. The minute the nursing home doc came in and basically refused to give the correct medicine for his MRSA infection, Dr J's PA jumped up and corrected the nursing home doc. When the nursing home doc asked who she was; I said, our doctor! So that's how Dr J and his staff was hired. Dr J has answered my calls in the middle of the night when my hubby has been sick. He makes same day appointments. The appointments are an hour long. When caregiving for a spouse it can be difficult to care for yourself. I was so impressed with the care my husband received that I hired Dr J and his staff to help facilitate my health care. When I lived in Mexico, I had been using the services at a local hospital, paying a monthly membership fee for their services so imagine my surprise when I found out that the exact same system existed here. That was when I found Dr. Marisse so I booked an appointment. I found her originally on Zocdoc and the nearest appointment was in a month and a half. Within a day of making the appointment, I was called by the office to Nurse Shawna who wanted to make sure that I knew that all appointments needed a preliminary chat with the Doc, after which I could book my appointment. thanked me for letting her know that the next available appointment was that far away. It turned out there was a mix-up and that she did have more immediate appointments available. There is plenty of parking, as it is in shared parking lot with other businesses. However, there are two buildings with the same building number but with different locale numbers. Upper Echelon is in the building nearest to the AAA and the Farmer Boys. At the appointment, everything was clearly explained and we went over a sort of plan of attack, with regards to my concerns and what I needed to do. I appreciated paying less per month for the membership, which includes as many appointments as you want. The lab work and the tests are at wholesale prices so even with the membership fee and registration, all of this was cheaper than the plan I was going to get with insurance. What I appreciated was the quickness of getting an appointment. I have always hated waiting a few weeks, as a new patient, before actually being seen but I was able to book this within a week of the appointment. It was a week because their availability interfered with my work hours. Otherwise, I would have been seen earlier. All in all, it is pretty convenient and a wallet-friendly option. After that first appointment and the lab results came in, Dr. Marisse wrote a VERY long email detailing every point of concern. Which I appreciated because I went for answers and I was getting them. If you need a straightforward person to tell you what you need to be doing and not someone who has to be on your ass every step of the way, this is the ideal option. I would say the ONLY con is that they do not have appointments during the weekends. And since I work during the week, I have to take time off to go to an appointment.
