I thought since i was the not-at-fault driver that I wouldn't need an attorney because it was pretty straight forward. Quickly I learned quite the opposite. Within about a week of reporting the accident I was sent tons of mail from Geico asking me to fill out a ton of information (keep in mind I'm trying to recover from a severe accident with horrible whiplash and other painful injuries including ptsd). I couldn't even believe the overwhelming amount of paperwork they wanted me to read and handle so I immediately called Keith and told him I would love for him to help me. He took over everything and basically told me I didn't have to lift a finger and he would contact me immediately if I need to know anything. My situation ended up being tricky seeing that I have the worst insurance company out there and the other driver also had Geico. This resulted in Geico not wanting to spend money helping me recover. Keith walked me through the entire process of how Geico deals with these things and what they will likely do (based off of past clients and many other business colleagues who deal with Geico insurance). Long story short, (since there would be so much to explain about why) After tons of questions, Keith giving me plenty of his time through back and forth e-mails, and a few phone calls likely ranging from 20-60 minutes my husband and I decided we just didn't want to deal with nasty Geico and I just wanted to move on with my life and try to put all the accident stuff behind me if possible. We chose to accept the unfair settlement from Geico and move on with life.
