Bridgeport Hope School is a good academic school. I had 3 of my children all graduated from BHS,…read moreand I've seen remarkable growth in his/her academic performance and character education. The teachers are very attentive, fostering a nurturing and supportive environment where students can thrive. It's a small school, they have limits and a lack of resources like a lack of sports. However, the school truly prioritizes every child's well-being, both academically and emotionally. My kids didn't learn drugs or substances. Never experienced violence. Teachers watched them and intervened for the kinds of provocative situations. We got enough for what we paid for. Overall, it was a good decision for our kids.

My child, like many other students, was subjected to bullying at Immaculate High School but the…read moreperpetrators were in families entrenched with the inert administrators and therefore received no discipline. I had to pull my child out after a year. The bullying is so bad that IHS is getting sued for a kid getting assaulted. In addition to the bullying and incompetent principal, the teacher turnover was ridiculously high, class options were limited, and extra costs were added every month that weren't included in the high tuition. Facilities are dated. Athletics are held in higher priority than academics. Immaculate High School is not worth the money or your child's mental suffering.

Horrible irresponsible school. Let me tell you a story...These kids wait for the school bus on the…read morecorner of Madison Ave and Wheeler Ave in Bridgeport CT. They were breaking bottle in our parking lot which is private property, they have in the past damaged our cars by throwing ice balls when it snows at out vehicles and quite frankly vandalize our property and cars on a daily basis. When we called this school the principal could not possible have cared less. the children were not spoken to, the parents were not informed, and then the principal told us it was not her problem to call the Board of Ed. We called them and NOTHING was done. There are ZERO school children who live on our street and yet, they refuse to move the bus stop! The Board of Ed told us to call the cops. The Cops said they can do nothing because these kids are minors. They told us that with the kids listening, giving them full license to continue to terrorize us on a daily basis. One "kid" grabbed his crotch and threatened to come back and rape our children, still the police did nothing. I have contacted every single news agency in the state of CT and asked them to cover this story in hopes that they can humiliate the powers that be to actually do their jobs. Let's see if anything comes of this or not. THE POLICE SAID "UNTIL THEY ACTUALLY ASSAULT SOMEONE, THEY CAN'T DO ANYTHING". Not true, all we asked is that the police take them home and speak to their parents, but they refused. Guess that was asking too much.

Parents of PreK-8 children REALLY need to check out this HIDDEN NEIGHBORHOOD GEM OF A SCHOOL! Our…read moreson recently graduated from 5th Grade at Cranbury School and we selected Fatima for middle school--it has FAR exceeded our expectations. Our son is enjoying learning and is so happy telling us daily: "At Fatima all the kids always support and encourage each other--not like at some of the other schools." A few of the other reasons we LOVE Fatima: 1. DOWN-TO-EARTH. This small, approachable, warm and welcoming community in South Wilton boasts a diverse student population with more than 60% of students representing Norwalk, including Cranbury, Silvermine, Rowayton, South Norwalk and Wolfpit, as well as surrounding towns including Stamford, Ridgefield, Westport, Weston and Fairfield. We feel so welcome at Fatima and our son has so many great new friends in all grade levels. 2. AFFORDABLE. Tuition is very reasonable compared with other private schools that we checked out in the area. 3. INDIVIDUALIZED LEARNING. A faculty of experienced and dedicated educators promote academic excellence and individualized learning with small student-to-teacher ratios--much better than the public schools and other area Catholic Schools we checked out, where many classrooms exceeded 22+ students. The Fatima faculty makes learning fun for our son with a curriculum that is similar to the small group "academically talented" program that was offered in the Norwalk Public School system--but that involves ALL children. 4. EXTRACURRICULAR TEAMS. Our son has learned skills in basketball, cross country, and chess. Fatima offers top-notch programs for boys and girls with experienced coaches who encourage all students to work together and build their skills. And, supportive Fatima Families that attend activities help create a warm and inclusive atmosphere that makes every child feel special. We highly recommend that Norwalk/Wilton area families with PreK-8 children look into this unique, family-oriented school as a great option to help instill core values, receive personalized attention and achieve academic excellence.

The Canaan Ridge School follows teaching principles and methods (since the 70's) which nurture a love of learning. The "No Child Left Behind' concepts are not in place at this school which allows them to use many incredible higher quality learning materials from various sources including European Schools. The academics are very high at this school-yet the creative concepts that lead children to become strong problem solvers are still very much alive at Canaan Ridge. This school was such a relief for me personally--I finally found a school that balances strong academics with creativity and a touch of true European Academics. Wow.
