Found this place on Facebook and heard some friends taking about it. When I went shooting at the…read morerange with my gun, I noticed that my gun sights were a little off and needed adjustments. I decided to check this place out and I'm so glad I did! It's a small shop that recently opened, but it's fully stocked with a friendly and knowledgeable staff. I brought my gun in and they got to working on it as soon as possible. With much skill and precision, my gun sights were perfectly aligned! After having them adjusted, I decided it was time for a gun cleaning and he happily did it for me with no problems. I'm not too much into guns, so there are always things to learn. They taught me important things that I should know as a gun owner. We talked for a good while about guns, competitions, and even random things like different kinds of foods! I felt like they weren't trying to sell me anything and like I have made great friends. They showed some cool laser engraving they have done on Facebook, so I asked about it. They showed me a few items that they used the laser to engrave. It's cool to see in videos, but absolutely stunning to see it in person! I definitely need to come back another time to get something engraved. Overall, a cool up-and-coming local gun shop to check out! The staff are really friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to help with any needs you may have. The prices are competitive and there are a lot things of cool things on display. I had a bolt-action rifle with a stuck bolt and he got it working again in no time flat. I brought it in on Monday and had it back the next day. Of course, your mileage may vary depending on the work you want done. He diagnosed the problem - it wasn't the rifle, it was a batch of bad ammo. Along the way, he cleaned the chamber, cleaned up the bolt, test-fired it and did an overall inspection. His repair bill was less than his estimate too. Unlike that slowpoke, price-gougey "gunsmith" in Goodbee, Clint is an honest, straight-up old-time gunsmith. I highly recommend his services.

I'd recently purchased a new rifle and, while removing one of the small, slotted-head screws…read more(plugs) atop the receiver in order to mount a scope, I had the slot strip out. My bad, and it was buggered up to a fare-thee-well. Not having the necessary tools or experience to remove such a small screw with the slot nearly gone, I started calling around looking for a gunsmith to help out. That's when I found Shoot Wise and Ryan (the gunsmith). I told him the problem and asked if I could bring it by. He said that first thing the next morning would be fine. I arrived shortly after the shop had opened and Ryan examined the rifle, told me he'd get the screw out and I'd have it back within a day or two. He was knowledgeable, polite, professional, and took the time to talk with me about the rifle. I left feeling good. Never made it home. Ryan called me about 30 minutes later, told me he had removed the screw, that the rifle was ready, and said that the price he'd quoted me (half what I'd been quoted elsewhere) was still good. When I picked up the rifle, there wasn't the slightest evidence that there'd been a problem and he explained the steps he'd taken to get the job done. Will I go back? Do I recommend Shoot Wise? Does the Pope wear funny hats? Is a duck's butt watertight? The only reason I don't give them six stars is that this site only lets me give five. Thanks Ryan, and thank you Shoot Wise.

I told them what I was there for, and they pointed the way to the second floor. All concerns were out the door at that point, except for my fear of heights, but I made it. Anyways, it took maybe all of 10 minutes, $60, and I was out the door with my goods. I'll likely go back there for all the other accessories, holsters, etc. They have an excellent selection for pretty much anything you're into, and the prices seemed to be on par with expectations.
