My mother has terminal cancer and we ended up having to get married a year earlier than we planned so we were stressing about finding a venue that could put together our dream wedding in 5 months. We almost settled and gave up on that dream wedding until we found The Cotton Gin. I still have no idea how they pulled it off so seamlessly. The Cotton Gin went above and beyond to make the whole day smooth for both my mom and us. When they say "all inclusive" they mean it. I did not lift a single finger for coordinating vendors, stressing about timing, or anything that usually causes stress for brides. I was calm the whole day and if any anxiety arose at any point in the process, the staff reassured me and was proactive in accommodating anything I needed. The owner Amanda is a creative genius and you can tell she loves what she does. Her goal is to give all brides a dream wedding that fits their budget. You can tell that she put careful thought into choosing staff that has the same passion and vision. Truly I feel like I made bonds with the staff that will last a life time. All of my guests gave extremely positive feedback about their experience! Also, the food was literally a 5 star dining experience. I am going to be craving their salmon and stuffed mushrooms for the rest of my life. I wish I could get married to my husband again and again so I can give The Cotton Gin more of my business!!

Staff was very calm and professional and kept the appetizers coming. Bar offered a lot of interesting drinks. The venue itself is gorgeous with very little of your own decorating needed. They literally took care of everything it seemed. Lots of places to take pictures. We had beef mashed potatoes and asparagus, which came out temperature hot and well seasoned. The shrimp and grits for the appetizer was delicious and the presentation of the cheeses was wonderful. A beautiful, intimate and cozy place with a couple levels, including a dance floor. I would highly recommend this place if you're interested in having a wedding reception.

Everything was clean. 2) The reception was catered and the staff was really good. They came around all the time to give refills and to take plates away. 3) The temperature was good. Not too warm, not too cold like some places. My mother of the bride is one of my partner's BFFs and it seems like (from what she said), the price to rent the space and catering was reasonable. They had several rooms of varying sizes which could come in handy for any kind of event. The one thing I thought was weird was that the bridal suite was on the completely opposite side of the building from where the wedding took place and if you wanted to walk inside, rather than outside, you had to go through 2 of the big rooms. I don't know what they do when there are multiple events taking place. Maybe they never schedule multiple events? Overall, it was an enjoyable experience.

She reached out to me personally after I showed interest in her venue. She let me come view it late at night and all though it was 3 weeks in advance, (I know there was barely any notice), she was SO accommodating and SO easy to work with. She made my dreams come true, she saw every one of my visions, she put everything together in the two weeks I planned everything. The outdoor ceremony under the big oak tree was absolutely stunning, the air conditioned reception hall was perfect. This venue was everything I could have imagined! They sure do know how to make a girl's dream wedding come true!!

This was already a stressful time getting things ready for the big day and we definitely didn't need the added stress. They were also very slow in refunding our deposit, even though we stayed very late helping to clean up after the ceremony. We paid over $5500 for this venue and should have not lifted a finger. They also do not include any air conditioning in the reception area. I'm giving them a 2 star because the venue itself is pretty, and the bridal/groom suites were nice.

Originally my son was going to get married at the courthouse but I wanted something more personal and special for them. The hall owners, Patty and Israel, went ABOVE AND BEYOND my expectations in making the space accommodating for us. We had 10 tables and 110 seats, a main table for the bride and groom, 3 food tables, 5 pedestal stands, wedding arch, DJ, and photobooth and STILL had room for dancing! We even had room to do La Vibora de la Mar (if you know you know!) and having the ceremony and reception in the same place was AWESOME! we used a wedding aisle runner and wedding arch in addition to their decorations, so it was perfect! We had so many compliments! Their packages are AFFORDABLE, way better than places I found on Thumbtack, Peerspace, The Knot, and Wedding Wire. Israel's quick response time was so much better than other places. Communication was GREAT, decorations were GREAT, and they even helped us secure an awesome taco guy who prepared the tacos for all of our guests. They even took care of cleaning, including the rose petals from the flower girls and the confetti! Thank you Patty and Israel, this will be our "go to" salon/event hall for future events!
