Working with Brendon was an absolute pleasure. He took a tailored approach to selling our Noe Valley condo, using his private marketing network to generate serious interest -- all without the hassle of staging. The whole process felt effortless, and he still managed to secure an exceptional price. And it all happened so much faster than we expected! Brendon's skill, experience, and hustle were undeniable. He is super responsive, easy and fun to work with, and guided us at every step. On top of everything, we feel great that the home went to lovely new owners. If you want results without the stress, we highly recommend Brendon! read more

Brendon is an incredible agent, and we absolutely loved working with him to find our dream home in Noe Valley. We can't imagine working with anyone else. My husband and I were first-time home buyers, so we needed to find someone who could really walk us through the process end-to-end--from deciding between different SF neighborhoods to helping us prepare an offer and navigate the closing process. Brendon was exceptional at every stage, making us feel confident and supported in an incredibly competitive market. He is also so experienced and well-respected in this market--at almost every listing we visited, the seller's agent would say something along the lines of, "Oh you're working with Brendon? He's amazing - I love him!" We deeply benefited from the breadth and depth of Brendon's network, and if there was ever a home we were interested in, he would make sure he or his team was there at the appointment, walking us through the property and helping us think through the pros/cons. When it came to reviewing the (many) disclosure packets and paperwork, we really appreciated Brendon's careful, detail-oriented approach. He taught us how to read through each disclosure and what to look out for--and would go through the details himself to make sure we didn't miss anything. When it came down to negotiations, he had our back, helping anchor our expectations but also making sure we didn't bid over what he felt the house was worth. We really appreciated how much he was looking out for us--not just for this home purchase, but when it came time for us to sell the house down the road. The combination of Brendon's reputation, negotiation skills, professionalism, and relationships drove the deal home--we give him 100% credit for making it all happen. We were not easy clients--we had a lot of needs, we changed our minds often, and we were new to home-buying. Despite this, we actually really enjoyed the process thanks to Brendon's kindness and patience throughout. He worked tirelessly to find us the perfect home, from taking us to unlisted properties to convincing a seller to let us drill a hole in one of the walls to determine whether we could remove it. If you have the opportunity to work with Brendon, just DO IT. Seriously. He is the best, and we won't hesitate to give him a call when it's time for home #2! read more

ChatGPT was NOT hallucinating when it recommended Brendon as an excellent realtor in our search for a house in San Francisco. From first call to closing day, we felt we were in experienced hands -- and we were. His know-how got us into an incredible home by working with all stakeholders to navigate an unconventional loan (for the SF market). We expected a long, arduous process, but working with Brendon made home buying a wonderful experience. If you get the chance to buy or sell with Brendon, take it! read more

We have known Brendon for 12 years, beginning with a successful first bid on our dream home in San Francisco. Recently, he helped us sell this home in short order; his guidance on all matters was spot-on. He also helped us buy another home recently on our first bid. Brendon's advice is objective, pragmatic, and in his clients' interest. He is highly responsive. I couldn't recommend him more highly! read more

My partner and I worked with Brendon Kearny as first-time homebuyers and had a great experience. We initially thought we'd be limited to condos based on our budget, but thanks to Brendon's negotiation strategy, our bid on a turn-key single-family home was accepted. He has a strong, assertive presence--so I recommend going in with a clear sense of what you want and doing your own research--but there's no question we wouldn't have landed our house without him. He was excellent at walking us through every step of the process and always upfront about his schedule and quick to respond. I would absolutely recommend Brendon as a realtor and plan to reach out to him again when it's time to sell. read more

I chose Brendon to be my selling agent because he was my buying agent over 20 years ago when I purchased the place that I was now selling. I had a great experience with him then - and this was even better! The amount of care and involvement he gave to to process was really great. The quality of the marketing around our place was top notch. To the stager he recommended, to the polished photography, video, and website that were created, were incredible. He actively showed the place and hosted four open houses in the span of 5 days and generated a great deal of excitement and interest. I really liked that I could rely on him to step and handle things when it was beyond my capacity. I really appreciated how he engaged me and my opinions and decisions in the process while guiding me using his expertise when it was needed. His team was also great - Ty was great to make sure all the docs and details stayed on track. I would absolutely recommend Brendon to my friends and family. read more

We wouldn't work with anyone else. Brendon guided us through multiple options and asked the right questions to help us find the perfect first home for our daughter in 2015 and expertly sold it for us in 2022 when it was time to move on. We couldn't imagine going through this complicated process of buying and selling in San Francisco without his expert knowledge. The bonus is he's fun to work with and spend time with. read more

Brendon Kearney - Compass - 230 Clayton St SF - Real Estate Agents Near Me - San Francisco, California

Brendon was incredible - he helped us through every step of the way, was always available, and helped us out with a very tricky deal where the sellers converted their TIC to two condo units but were on the same loan, which meant that the sale of the two units had to close on the same day - meaning, all 4 parties involved had to have everything settled synchronously. He was the one person within the parties that knew about this rare and specific situation and the deal would have likely been off if he didn't go above and beyond to let the seller's agent and the seller's agent of the other unit know, saving not just us but the other unit a lost deal. Luckily Brendon was so experienced he was able to navigate this unique situation, the other parties, and making sure we were protected every step of the way. The deal worked out, and we're living in a wonderful place thanks to him! read more

Brendon without a doubt is one of the best in San Francisco. He helped us navigate the purchase process, let us know what to expect, assist in closing the deal even when we were outside of the country. His advice reflects years of experiences and professionalism. We would refer him to anyone. read more

My husband and I worked with Brendon in 2022 to sell our home in SF. We live outside of CA - due to career, farm life, Covid, etc - it's not easy for us to travel and so we relied entirely on Brendon to guide us through each step. Brendon exceeded our expectations as a realtor - He took care of EVERYTHING from start to finish. Within the first few minutes of meeting Brendon, he won our confidence. He demonstrated his knowledge in the SF market, walked us through the process, and had a solid plan for repairs/renovations/staging. Brendon sold our house for well-over asking and it was on the market for less than 12 hours. (We are SO GLAD we trusted you, Brendon!) Brendon is truly PHENOMENAL and easy to work with! We can't say enough good things about him. read more

Brendon is on another level. He not only has deep knowledge of the San Francisco housing market, but clearly has a broad network which he leverages to help get you the best price. Every real estate agent who asked us who we were working with already knew and loved Brendon. (Including, of course, the seller's agent for the house we made an offer on!) Brendon helped us navigate a competitive market during rising interest rates and masterfully negotiated a below list offer that was satisfying to the sellers and in our price range. We walked away feeling like we got a deal on our dream house. He was responsive, worked hard, and checked up on us after we moved in. He truly is the best in the Bay! If you're looking for an agent, you can stop your search here! read more

Brendon is one heck of a realtor.  We bought a proper fixer with Brendon's help 5 years ago, lived in it and loved it throughout the fixing process.  Brendon was willing to consult in the fixing process to give us insight into how what we were doing would help drive value if we ever decided to sell in the future.  Although we didn't have plans to move, life changed and we ended up selling.  Brendon put together an aggressive strategy that landed us an offer above our expected sale price.  Would Recommend.  5/5 stars. read more

Brendon came highly recommended from several close friends who had worked with him previously. Purchasing a home in San Fransisco can be an intimidating undertaking; Brendon made the process simple and straightforward. He has an exceptional understanding and intuition for the local market, and was constantly providing us with invaluable insights throughout our home search. He also has a vast network of professional connections in the Bay Area, and never hesitated to extend an introduction when we had more detailed questions about specific properties. I bought and later sold a condo in SF with Brendon, and the experience in both transactions was phenomenal. As a first time homebuyer, he walked me through the process, helped recommend areas that could meet what I was looking for as well as my budget, and had a ton of great insights when actually checking out a property. He and his team were quick with all communication and helped make the process extremely smooth and easy. He even had good connections to lenders that he knew would be able to meet an aggressive close schedule. When it came time to sell, Brendon came in with a detailed plan spelling out every step of the process, and presenting any options he would recommend in terms of how to best update and stage the condo for a sale. From then on, he handled every step of the process and kept me updated as it went along. He could not have made it easier as I essentially moved out, received updates to confirm everything was on schedule, and then had a list of offers to review. His work, and the end result of the sale, exceeded all of my expectations. I have since recommended Brendon to several friends for their home purchases and they have all been equally happy. read more

The San Francisco Real Estate market is a fast, full contact sport and entering into it for the first time was daunting. To be successful, you need a realtor who not only knows the market but has the connections needed to get you the best information to make a winning bid. Brendon was able to do all of that for us and more - within minutes of touring a house that we loved, Brandon was on the phone and got us the info we needed to make a competitive (and winning) offer. If you need a realtor who can get the deal done, Brendon is absolutely your guy. He was incredibly knowledgable about the market, super responsive, and an amazing partner in helping us move into our first SF home. read more

I first met Brendon at a showing for a house that he was selling. Due to his professional demeanor, his extensive knowledge, and his engaging warmth, I immediately knew that he was the realtor who I would hire when it came time to sell my own home. Sure enough, my instincts about his excellence were confirmed when the sales proposal that he presented to me -- two personalized, hard-bound books that spelled out his specific marketing plan for my house -- was head-and-shoulders above all the others. In fact, this example of Brendon "going the extra mile" is a perfect reflection of the quality of his work as well as of the considerable thought, effort, and commitment that he puts into it. From the moment that he sat down with me to map out his home preparation and sales strategies to the moment that the house closed escrow, Brendon's hard work ethic and expertise were clear. He knows exactly what to do in order to cosmetically improve a house such that it will attain the highest possible price. Perhaps best of all, due to the combination of his contractor's heart and his artist's eye, he then specializes in completely coordinating and managing these improvements. The end result was that he expertly handled everything associated with the sale of my home, thereby making a very complex process very easy for me. And throughout this process, because he is an excellent communicator, he reassuringly kept me completely informed at every step along the way. Brendon is also a wealth of information, referrals, and resources. When I conveyed to him that I was feeling overwhelmed by having to completely clear out my large Victorian home in advance of selling, he recommended an Estate Sale company that turned out to be a life-saver when they took care of *everything.* Simply put, choosing Brendon and working with him was absolutely the key factor that allowed me to get my house ready to sell in the shortest amount of time and for the largest amount of money -- and a seller can't ask for more than that. You should definitely choose Brendon, too. I guarantee that you will be glad that you did. read more

Brendon was exactly the Real Estate Agent that I needed during my first home purchase in San Francisco this past year. Everyone knows how intimidating, complicated, nuanced, and frustrating the process of buying a new home can be in this city. Here are a few ways that Brendon neutralized all of these factors and made my experience as pleasant and positive as possible: 1- Brendon was incredibly patient, took the time to describe every single detail of the process with me. 2- He knows everything that you need to know from a legal standpoint as well which provides so much reassurance. 3- He communicates extremely promptly and always made time to talk on the phone when needed. 4- Definitely the person you want in your corner for negotiations and document review. 5- Provides great perspective and a great sense of humor; which you will definitely need. Aside from this, Brendon finds ways to make you feel cared for even after the closing and move-in. I would not have been able to do this without someone with his demeanor and expertise. read more

We have been clients of Brendon's for over 20 years. He has guided us through the real estate process many times, from a SFH to condos to a multiplex in San Francisco and Oakland. He is a thorough and tough negotiator and a consummate professional. His attention to detail is top-notch. He does what's best for his clients and not what's best for him; he once advised us to buy a less expensive (but bigger) condo than a more expensive (but smaller) condo because he knows that I have a lot of stuff. He was willing to take a smaller commission as a result of the smaller sale so that I would be happier. We always know that when Brendon is in charge of our real estate transactions, that puts us in the driver's seat. read more

I can only echo what dozens of other Brendan clients have written: he's the best realtor I've known. He helped me buy my 2-bedroom condo in SF, coaching me through many visits and options with sage advice. Ten years later, he helped me sell that same condo. To prep for the sale, he created a list of upgrades that would achieve maximum ROI, assembled the team to execute, oversaw the execution, and the Concierge loan program made it super easy. Brendan's and his team's renovations resulted in a beautiful website and showing, and then a quick and favorable sale. I'm forever grateful and highly recommend Brendon. read more

He is knowlegeable, buttoned up, patient, encouraging, and honest. He reads all 432 pages of the disclosure so he can answer your questions. He voices concerns you didn't think of. He doesn't push you to numbers you aren't comfortable with. Everything is taken care of seamlessly. We were extremely lucky to find Brendon. We had been looking to buy a place in the South Bay, thinking we might hold and rent our place in the city. When we decided to sell, our South Bay realtor did some sleuthing for us, and it was determined that Brendon was the best in San Francisco. Our South Bay relator was not with Compass, so it's wonderful this chain of relations really did find the best. This was our first home sale, and Brendon made it super easy. We got out of the way, and Brendon got to work. In a few weeks our 3rd floor Edwardian was completely transformed (my wife was pissed we didn't do it years ago!). Brendon could have suggested we go nuts with the renovation, but he only focused on items that would have a strong return on investment. In the end it was beautiful at a very reasonable price. At the start, Brendon sat us down and told us the price he thought the place would fetch (we were very pleased). He then told us the best strategy for our place would be to price it a hair over 200k less than this. Gulp! He was very understanding that this was nerve-wracking. His opinion was that this would be essential to getting folks in the door, and that within a couple weeks we would be in a multi-offer situation at our target valuation. He asked us to trust him. It worked, and fast. Ours was a 14 year San Francisco real estate project (purchased with friends as a bachelor, got married, had kids). Brendon wrote the final chapter of our story, and made it and extremely good one. I couldn't recommend Brendon more highly. read more
