By far the best dentist I've ever been to!…read more Admittedly, I'm horrible with getting to the dentist and when I do finally go, it'll be another three years before I go back again. This could be because I have a very low tolerance for pain or for the mere fact that I'm uncomfortable with having other peoples hands in my mouth stretching my jaw apart. What I've come to find with some dentists are that they can be rough and really don't explain what needs to be done or why. It's almost like their main concern is to do the work and submit it to the insurance, regardless of quality or care. At least that's been my experience. Who knows? What I do know is that Dr. Toni Rust is an awesome dentist and truly cares about oral health. Her office is very flexible to my hectic schedule, they're very good with last minute appointments, Toni explains every detail about what she's doing and the reason why and her true agenda is getting your teeth looking great. I plan on being a long-term patient of Toni's dental practice and recommend her to anyone that's looking for a new dentist!

She is extremely rough and uncaring. She "tried" to fix my daughter's broken tooth and after 2…read moreattempts...failed attempts, she stated that if my daughter broke her tooth again...she would not fix it. That's her job and we have insurance!!!!!????? Don't waste your money!!!! She's awful!! I can't even give her 1 star but I guess that I have to. She should be a zero.

Today was my first visit as a new patient at Plymouth Family Dental. I was informed that a new…read morepatient appointment includes several X-rays, a full dental evaluation, and a cleaning. After completing my X-rays and consultation with the dentist, I was then advised there was "no time" left for my cleaning. I expressed my concern because only part of the appointment was honored. I arrived 20 minutes before my scheduled appointment time, so the lack of fulfillment was extremely unprofessional and showed very little consideration for patients and their time.

Extremely disappointing experience with this dental office…read more Before any treatment, I clearly stated that I did not want services that were not covered by my insurance. Despite that, I was later billed for charges I never knowingly approved and never agreed to pay out of pocket. What made this worse was the lack of transparency. I repeatedly asked for clear documentation, itemized charges, and proof that I signed for certain services they later claimed I owed. Instead of properly resolving the dispute, the account was sent to collections and reported to the credit bureaus. I already paid significant amounts directly to the office, including payment for Invisalign by credit card, yet they still pursued additional disputed charges without properly explaining them. Patients should be very careful here and request everything in writing before agreeing to treatment. Make sure you fully understand what insurance covers and what they may later try to bill you for. Very stressful experience overall, especially the handling of billing and collections.

There are many dentists closer to my home but I would never even think of changing!

I've been seeing Dr. Chillemi for about 9 years now. I was pregnant with my 3rd child and my other…read moretwo were little. He was great with them. So patient and so kind. The entire staff was! And I have to say - being in a dental chair is probably one of my biggest fears. I've never had a pleasant experience and always got freaked out and anxious. He took his time, explained everything and 9 years later - we're still going strong with this dental practice. I highly recommend Dr. Chillemi, Kate, Joanne and the rest of the team.

Not trustworthy. More concerned about maximizing his insurance payout (coming up with work to get…read morethe maximum amount of money from insurance) than being honest. He found four "cavities" that in hindsight I don't think were actual cavities. After I got those filled, he found more "cavities" at which point I decided to get a second opinion. I have not had another cavity in 7 years since switching to other dentists. One of the fillings has given me problems over the years which is maddening since I don't think it should have been drilled in the first place. His receptionist Joanne is extremely rude and unprofessional. Yelled at me on the phone, hung up on me and refused to answer the phone when I tried to call back.

I brought my grandma here after many years of not having seen a dentist. She's extremely hesitant…read moreabout going to any type of medical professional because she has a very low tolerance level for discomfort. The wait time was very short which is one of the things I was worried about because reviews of other dental offices indicated wait times of an hour or more. After getting checked in, the assistant took my grandma to get x-rays and was very patient and friendly with her the entire time. Before she moved the apparatus to parts of the mouth that were going to be more uncomfortable, she made sure to tell me so I could translate it for my grandma. When the dentist came in, she actually consulted the x-rays before giving recommendations for what my grandma would need. I've been to dental offices before where they just go about the cleaning and try to upcharge procedures so was really glad to get to actually have a conversation with the dentist. She was able to provide a referral for my grandma to get a deep cleaning with gas instead of local anesthesia to lower the amount of discomfort for my grandma. I left the office very happy with the visit. Would highly recommend.

Positives: the facilities are clean, hygienists are friendly and make you feel at ease prior to…read moreprocedures. Meh: the dentists are mid as I had a dental crown fall off within two years (for context, my other crown from a different practice stayed put for over 15 years). Some of them also try to aggressively push for services / procedures you don't need - seek a second opinion when in doubt. Negatives: their billing department runs an absolute racket with shady practices. They try to charge you upfront prior to submitting to your insurance, lie to your face that insurance denied the claim (it was denied because the "claim" was integral to the procedure and no separate payment was applicable), and try to charge you beyond insurance negotiated rates by calling it an "upgrade". Take a printout of your insurance EOB and compare with their itemized invoice prior to paying anything!

BEWARE! Last year I was looking for a dentist in the area. Since this office was listed as 'in…read morenetwork' on my insurance company website, and was close by, I made an appointment for a cleaning and checkup. After arriving at the office I was asked to purchase dental insurance from the office. I took the paperwork to look it over, then went in for X-rays and cleaning. After finishing up, I was informed that I owed over $300. I said, but I have my own insurance. Was then told 'we don't accept any insurance'. First, no one indicated this to me either when I made my appointment OR when I arrived at the office. Second, as I stated, they were listed as an in-network dental office on my insurance company website. Now, I would think that a dental insurance that accepts 'no insurance' would state this on the phone, or certainly upon arrival for the appointment. Nope. The woman at the desk proceeded to BLAME ME for not telling her that I HAD insurance because if I had, 'none of this would have happened'. The woman at the desk - LISA - neglected to ask ME for my insurance when I arrived. In my opinion, any dental office that has a policy of accepting NO INSURANCE should make that crystal clear up front. Also, it was THEIR responsibility to remove their office name from my insurance website's list of in network offices. I did my due diligence and this office failed (miserably) to do theirs.. In the meantime, I found that this office has been accepting my sister's insurance for years, therefore the woman at the desk - LISA - lied. Like I said......BEWARE.
