Definitely a horrible place to live we've been here almost a year and a half it took them a whole year to fix our flooring and made excuses to why they couldn't fix it and I finally had to get the city involved to do it. Recently with new management it's been better but still expensive with outdated appliances and with simple issues that could be fixed plus when we first moved in we were under the impression rent would be 609 for water trash sewage and cable then we got our first months rent and it was 750 for extra fees and the only option is to pay online which is definitely stupid and if you pay online with your card it charges you another 20 dollars unless you set it up with a bank account it would be so much easier to do a money order or cashiers check can't wait to move out once this lease is up read more

This is the worst place I have ever lived in, and I used to live in the scary part of Dayton, next to a drug dealer. There are myths that the maintenance men have a schedule that they follow, but this statement is on par with the existence of the Easter Bunny and Tooth Fairy. If you do magically get graced by presence, you'll be enthused to learn about their experience. (I don't think they have any) At one point, after waiting two months, the maintenance came in to fix our cracking bathtub. Instead of applying a glaze, they decided it would be a good idea to spray down our entire bathroom with mildly toxic sealant. Toxic. Sealant. Oh, and I was seven months pregnant. My baby was born retarded. Just kidding. But still... The management itself is its own segment with absolutely no contact with maintenance. So you'd think that there's a good chance of at least someone being competent. Sorry (they're not). Do not go to the office. You only have a 50/50 shot of them being there in the first place. If youre trying to increase your overall step count for the day, the multiple trips that you have to make to speak to a human might be up your alley. When you do go in, it's probably best to not try to make the office workers do their job. They really hate that. If you're brave enough to ask a question, you probably won't get an answer.. If you're up for some verbal jousting with an employee with a bad attitude though, go right ahead. Despite all of the fun I've had here, listening to people run up and down the stairs, and smelling the weed from every surrounding apartment, I cannot wait to leave and move anywhere else. Watch out for this place. They take your money for applications fees which I understand is non refundable. But then take another $50.00 deposit on the apartment you are wanting. They act like you are going to get the apartment until the last minute. Then keep the deposit money too. They can make a lot of money turning people down and keeping all the money. Not bad for the money. The bad sides first. Needs updated appliances, Windows and doors. But considering people skip out on rent and tend to be college students I don't blame them for not putting in super nice things. The front doors however are my worst complaint. Need stronger, thicker doors to block out hallway noise. The weed smells are ridiculous and the constant running up and downstairs. However after a few complaints and police visits my particular building is quiet and only the bottom unit next to the front door smells of weed. It helps I'm on the top floor and the back of the building with a big tree to block sun in the summer and create a private balcony space:) Positives. Low rent the max I pay is 700$ this includes water, trash, sewer, cable. All electric so no gas bills. The max the electric bill is 100$. Super close to the the university and Wright Patt. Again not the nicest looking apartments but considering how cheap the rent is you get what you pay for. read more

If it was possible to rate this place 0-star I would have done it. This is the most corrupted and worst property management I have ever encountered in my life. They charged extra money on my account for rent and it took days and month to return it to me. There maintenance is very slow and takes days. If you ever thinking about this place run far and fast. This is a super expensive and useless apartment complex. Rent is roughly $700 and that's BEFORE utilities, you have to reimburse them for btw. And if you want out of the lease early you have to pay $1500 ( even if your lease is almost done) and give them 60 days notice AND you still have to pay for the 60 days you're still there! The speed on getting maintenance done is alright, no real complaints about that. The office isn't open usually when there's a problem, like noisy neighbors. The office also doesn't seem to do anything but just warn people, they never follow up to make sure problems are resolved. The walls are either very thin or my neighbors are just really loud. read more

Awful landlord, awful apartments. The apartments are disgusting and no matter how clean you are the people next to you probably have bugs. There's mold in the apartments and the landlord refuses to do anything about it. The handyman takes weeks to do even the simplest of repairs. Don't rent these apartments. read more

No! DO NOT rent from these people! The roof leaks in the majority of the buildings and they do NOTHING to fix the problem! There is termite damage in some of the units! Trash thrown all over the property! Cars are broken into on a weekly basis. Kids run around the complex with no parental supervision at all and constantly are throwing sticks and rocks at cars! Drugs are being sold on the property! Huge parties on the weekends, not to mention fights almost every weekend! Cops are out here more times that you can count! The pool is not monitored and kids from all over the neighborhood think that the pool is theirs and they trash it! Absolutely the worst place I have EVER lived in! Save yourself the heartache and save yourself the money!! It's NOT worth it!!! read more

Brickenridge Apartments may have been the worst living experience i have had under a year lease. Beware to not get a basement floor apartments, since living here i have had a bees nest under my bedroom window that i had to take care of my self. They have a 24 hour maintenance team but they will postpone coming at least 2 days in advance. there was a flood in the living room window and black mold as the window siding fell off (could see bare wood), the maintenance man told us that the apartments carry heavy moisture which is why our sinks and dishwasher is leaning. there was also a problem with ventilation in the bathrooms and draining in the tube. because our tub in spring would flood from the inside out , and the moisture caused black mildew on the ceilings which maintenance man had to come every other day because it wasn't going away.. my next apartment wont be pet friendly because i think the majority of bugs were coming from the neighbors 4 big dogs.. also alot of dog feces outside in the grass so beware where you walk... then to make matter worst because the old landlord was fired and didnt keep records it has cause the New landlord to charge everyone for issues that have been reported but not documented... they have gave us 3 days to resign a lease in the same apartment (wont let us relocate apartments) or result in the new rent of +45.00.. as military this is not a friendly environment and be vary cautious when visiting Breckenridge apartments read more

This place is a complete joke. You have to have time Warner cable which is an extra $45 a month on top of rent and they add a bunch of random charges that make rent almost $100 more than what they say. Management is a joke who doesn't care about anything/ won't do anything to resolve any issues. If somethings broken, you better get used to it because it I'll be a while before someone comes to fix it no matter how important it is. The pool was only open for a month, if that. This complex is super noisy and you better get used to the smell of weed and everyone leaves their trash out in the hallway so you better get used to that smell too. This is by far the worst place I've lived. We lived in the basement and the mold was ridiculous. In the master bedroom the outlets on one side of the room did not work. In the hallway, when it rained the rain would leak in the walls down to the carpet and leave the hall soaking wet. The weed smell was awful, there was a raid an apartment above us. Multiple calls to the police for fights. Then we asked for a transfer to a different building because we were still in a year lease, they told us it was a 300 dollar transfer fee. We agreed to it. Transferred to a different apartment building, then got a note on our door saying we owed 360 dollars for the holes In the walls from where we hung up pictures , and for new carpet. We stated that our deposit should cover that considering it was a 600 dollar deposit , she stated she needed that for our apartment we transferred to( we asked about a new deposit before we agreed to the transfer) . So now they are stating we owe 1200 dollars by the end of the month. The lease also says cable ready in all rooms, we only have a cable hook up to the living room. Their excuse was that due to being next to the Air Force base we are only allowed to have one, when in the old apartment we had one In the living room and both bedrooms. They are a bunch of money hungry people and I now understand why the reviews are so bad for here. Needless to say, we will not be renewing our lease next year. read more
