I love the feel of the studio. It is very comfortable. I enjoyed and learned from Chop's method of instruction.

My previous CP review for West OP (135th and Antioch) was posted a few weeks ago, but I figured I…read morewould leave a review for the 87th street location. Up until 3 weeks ago, I was not going to renew my CP membership. I just was not getting what I needed exercise wise. I also found the instructors were too by the book and I just didn't feel like I belonged. However, after returning back to the 87th Street location changed my mind. Why? Inclusion and Respect: 9.5/10 I signed up for a 9a cardio sculpt class with Sandy. Upon entering, she greeted me so warmly! I was so surprised, but it was such a nice surprise. I instantly felt welcomed and the group I worked out with were personable and a lot of fun! Feel The Burn: 10/10 OMG Sandy is not afraid to go heavier on the tension and warms you up in no time! I instantly felt my muscles activating. The playlist was also fire! It was easy to stay engaged and motivated during her class! Staff Responsiveness: 9.5/10 Sandy is great about giving you feedback while pushing you to the max. She also checks in often with the class to make sure we are good. Her energy is unmatched! Also, emailing the staff here is great! They are pretty quick to respond and they are open to feedback! Class Availability: 8/10 Sandy and Callan are popular instructors, and they often have waitlists for their 1.5 and 2 classes. If you work full-time and have other scheduling obligations, you are going to be waitlisted. Your best bet is to schedule in advance if you can. Hopefully, they hire more instructors to teach the types of classes these two ladies do for more availability! Proof is in the Pudding: 9.5/10 I have been coming to CP consistently since last month and I am already seeing results! If you are looking to tone and sculpt, coming at least 4-5 days a week is your best bet. I started out coming twice a week, but increased to five. Do what you are comfortable with. I also recommend speaking with the class instructor for tips. Health is $$: No rating for this one - more of an opinion, but the unlimited CP membership is pretty pricey, especially when comparing other studios in the metro. It is a privilege to be able to pay for an expensive membership. I acknowledge that. This location offers perks - points and referral bonuses. A single class is $35 and if you like it well enough, it can add up quickly. Do your research into what you want out of Pilates and research various studios around the area. Staff Diversity: 8/10 Rebecca R. is a Black instructor who works at this and the OP West location. I am so happy to see and would love to see more instructors of color. Shoutout to Sandy for making me feel so welcome. It is hard to find a studio that is inclusive of Black and brown individuals. Overall: 9/10 This location is legit. The instructors are top notch: (Callan, Sandy, and Adrienne) It is always clean and the music is always good! I am happy I didn't stop my membership and I am beyond elated that I found Sandy!

She started off with gentle motions and then worked out the kinks with her finger tips. She was gentle, but applied enough pressure that I could tell I would experience muscle relaxation. The massage table was heated and comfortable. The area was quiet on a Saturday afternoon. They were able to work me in at the last minute (I had an appointment that was canceled at a different place). It was so kind of them to accommodate me at the last minute. I really wanted a massage, and Alyssa provided an amazing one! They were also running a special promotion for the month, and they had a special deal for first time appointments on yelp. The only negative is the lotion. It was very greasy and unscented. She even gave me a hot towel at the end to wipe it off, but it was not effective. I felt like I needed to shower it off. Also the unscented lotion might be great for those with allergies, but I would have preferred an aromatherapy type scent. Otherwise, great experience.

This is a great yoga studio! In addition to top-notch teachers who focus on alignment and healing,…read morethe atmosphere is friendly and caring. There is zero attitude. All are made to feel welcome and supported, both personally before and after classes, and on the mat with individualized instruction and modifications. The studio focuses on Iyengar Yoga, a type of classical yoga with a big focus on alignment of the body. What makes this unique is that there's a lot of individualized help using props and modifications so that you can do each pose in whatever way works best for you. Iyengar also uses a "rope wall" (a wall with loops of ropes suspended from it) to help support you in certain poses so you can get maximum benefit from them (like traction in a Downward Dog) and other stuff that kind of reminds me of Pilates or physical therapy. In each class, there are usually a few yoga teachers in training doing poses while taking notes, as well as people of all ages, physical abilities, and sizes. Often, there's somebody recovering from a sports injury or somebody working to relieve chronic pain. Each person is treated as an individual with respect, kindness, and expert help from the teachers. The classes are relaxed but focused, with some small talk and laughter-no stuffiness or show-off atmosphere here at all. The studio is clean and large, with a wall of high windows looking out into trees. Highly recommended!
