Although this was, as we have come to learn, early in the Google Maps history, we couldn't have been any luckier. Of course, the first few times we spoke, his enthusiasm and passion for what he and his team was doing was slightly aggressive. Little did we know at the time it was because he was changing people's lives forever? He mentioned how he had helped his wife a speech and occupational therapist for autistic kids in Fort Lauderdale, but sight unseen that too sounded almost too lofty. Then, not knowing the truth about his ridiculous unfair, every criminal defense lawyer's nightmare (receiving a perfect looking check, but the client fearing they would lose his energy and enthusiasm and as their California defense attorney, tried passing off a check as good. He was a young lawyer, none the wiser, and of course, had the famous Tom Cruise scenario. Duty of confidentiality and protect his client so he doesn't lose his license, or chirp and lose his license. Since he was visiting his family (Mom the former Mayor of Hollywood, FL at the time for 22 years), the charge in Florida, with the CA BAR having jurisdiction, he was left waiting to hear of the CA State bar court would recognize his "withhold of adjudication," a 2nd chance doctrine that apparently is only a Florida second chance. So CA refused to recognize, refused to hear the facts only legal arguments, and after fighting it to the Supreme Court level of CA, they gave him 5 years off. He, having been one of the pioneers of the internet as one of the founders of MusicVision in 1999 (represented the online properties if NSYNC, Mariah Carey, 311, Eminem, to name a few, he decided to reinvent himself in the internet once again vowing to always "do the next right thing!" Jump to 2009, we decided to give our faith in him a chance, and as a criminal defense law firm ourselves, we understood his tragic past. We also understood his heritage as an internet marketing pioneer, weighed the cost and benefits and for a mere $2400 we were given first page placement on Google, as part of the A-G Map results on the first page, and our practice was changed forever. We have now done a new website, his SEO monthly momentum campaign, video seo and PPC, and a slew of other ingenious and wildly profitable platforms.
