Triple threat has taught my daughter so much in just a year. She has done ballet, tap, tumble and contemporary and I am pleased with her wealth of knowledge now. For the best dance instructor around -- AJ, you are a rare gem who radiates so much light to everyone who has the honor of crossing your path! Teddy and I were SUPER nervous to start dance lessons (just a couple weeks out from our wedding), but you were so positive and encouraging and thoughtful in your approach to teaching a couple of adults who showed up dancing like baby deer learning to walk. You made it fun and easy...something we really looked forward to. It was truly one of our favorites activities together as a couple -- which says a lot from a couple who had never danced together before meeting you. Thank you for sharing your expertise with us and helping us feel confident and even excited to share a first dance together as husband and wife. We plan to see you again, but you should know that we'll always think about you when we look at our wedding photos of us dancing. , J & T

It's a once a week, 45 minute class and just finished the Spring session. She gets a 2 week break and will start the summer class. We like it also, because my husband and I can also watch her while in class. Her teacher's friendly and have a lot of experience dealing with small children. The shop's very cute. They sell tutus, dance outfits, ballet and tap shoes and girls' accessories. Our granddaughter looks forward to every class and always asks to go to dance class. I surely recommend them.

It's a little out of the way for Greensboro orro, but with the new highway - it's worth the drive ! Awesome dance studio :))

Very neat different activity to do and a great place to learn!…read more My wife and I started going to Mickey and Penny's Shag lessons just prior to COVID. She had talked about wanting to learn, and while I had seen people do it my whole life, I knew nothing about it! We signed up for the beginner classes and showed up! The lessons themselves are in the basement of Mickey and Penny's house and it is an awesome set up! Plenty of room, neat lighting and decorations all around! Penny and Mickey do a fantastic job of making everyone feel welcome and helping everyone no matter their skill level! Of course they are both fantastic shaggers that have previously competed, but they are also great teachers of the Shag! It did not take us long at all to at least be comfortable enough to go with a group from class to shag out in public one night! Unfortunately after a few lessons, COVID came about and we were not able to continue for about a year. We have recently started back and picked back up where we left off! Some of the couples in the beginners group are the same and there are some new ones, but everyone is super nice and just looking forward to having fun while also learning to do the Carolina Shag! I would definitely suggest Mickey and Penny for Shag lessons whether you are looking to get very good and compete in Shag, or just looking to learn enough to have fun on the weekends or at a party or two!

I told her she is only two and they don't usually have very developed impulse control at this age. I said that she may not be ready for an organized activity and maybe we can try again when she's older. Then the lady tells me she's had other two year olds and it's just my daughter. She continued complaining about her. I can definitely handle if they told me she wasn't ready for their class but she was just nasty and cruel! I've never seen an adult have so much animosity and frustration towards a CHILD. It was very concerning. We will not be going back. If she was that mean to my kid while I was present I hate to think of how they treat children during class when parents aren't around since they are not allowed to be present after the first class.
