Old-school Pool Hall, good tables decent bar with good prices. It would be a perfect place if they had Steel Tip Dart Boards.

There isn't too much to do around the area and I was told about this place. I haven't played pool…read moreor darts in yeaaaaars. They have upstairs and downstairs BUT they do not have a elevator which is an issues saying they are not handicap friendly. They do have a dartboard downstairs, pool tables and a bar where you can get drinks and order food. Upstairs is most of the dart boards though. We orderedthe burger which apparently was blah. I ordered the philly quesadilla which it was pretty good. I freaking tripped and the mustard went flying and I had to use all of the napkins to clean it. I went into the bathroom to get paper towels but they dont have any.

Billiards players alert, this is the place to go in the area!…read more It is owned and operated by Janet Atwell who is at this writing # 8 in the Women's Professional Billiards Association (WPBA). This location opened about a year ago, moving just a few storefronts up from her original location. They already had their opening WPBA tournament this past May which had her crew working furiously to finish the new location. There are 4 floors with the billiard hall occupying the first 2 floors. She has some other plans for those upper floors once the finishing touches on first 2 are completed. The hall is absolutely beautiful and top of the line everything (see pics)! The tables are all new Brunswick billiard tables. One section is set up for the professional tournaments with stadium style seating and announcers booth. There are 2 bars and great food food available like wings, burgers, pizzas and I was told, wonderful sandwiches. We loved the place so much, we are going back tomorrow! If you want to play where the pros go, you must stop here for a great time and meet Janet. She is so friendly and helpful, she is the bomb!

Right in the heart of Downtown Kingsport is a great spot to hang out with friends, enjoy a game of…read morebilliards or play other arcade games. Occupying 2 stores space, there is plenty of elbow room for multiple games of pool with dining at a booth in the middle of establishment or at the bar. The exposed brick wall gives Shooters its charm and casual ambiance. The menu offers up classic bar food options. All of which my party ordered was devoured. And as one previous review mentioned that the food didn't leave you feeling heavy after eating, so that is definitely a good feeling. Place your order for food at the bar located at the back of the room. You get a number placard and head back to your chosen table. The staff will bring out your order there when it's ready. And because this is such a casual, laid-back atmosphere, if you want refills or another drink - head back to the bar. :) Not a big deal. Pool tables are coin-operated (4 quarters to play until all the billiard balls are in the pockets). Don't worry, there is a change machine there if you don't have the coins at the ready. I believe the arcade also takes coins, but some like the crane game can take cards (at least that's what someone in my party mentioned). This venue is great for players of all ages! We are happy that a great place like Shooters is here in Kingsport.

After spending a few days in Dublin Ireland and frequenting The Temple Bar and Brazen Head, I was…read moremissing a good drawn Guinness. I heard of Mulligans but hadn't made it up until yesterday. I asked an old friend to meet me there for lunch. Albeit a quieter time of the day, the decor and stage indicated a much livelier crowd in the evening. Note to self, go back on a Friday night. Our waitress Gatsby was a pure delight. She was prompt with both our drinks and food. We asked a lot of questions and through them all she smiled and left us satisfied with her replies. Now, if you're craving Irish beer or whiskey, they'll be your new favorite stop. We had Guinness, of course, but also, Harps and Smithwicks. Not much of a whiskey person but I did see their selections. We both had the fish and chips. Good and fresh. They have lots of Irish dishes so return trips are on the schedule. I can only imagine a full place and good music playing! What a fun place. Thanks Gatsby! You were the best.

Lads, this gaff absolutely slaps…read more Not jokin'--we're talkin' top-tier stuff here. Picture it: miserable Saturday, wind goin' sideways, whole day lookin' like it needs a good talkin' to. Me and the missus gets blown into this pub like two gobshites lookin' a shelter and a feed. And ... what a shout! I ordered the corned beef and cabbage, and I swear on me Ma's good china, it was filthy good. Fork went through it like it owed me money. Juicy, melty, little ribbons of fat runnin' through it like it was showin' off. The cabbage? Deadly. The mash? Lads... the mash tasted like an angel got notions and said "ah go on, I'll make this one myself." Bit of garlic, bit of peel, bit of magic. I nearly cried. We're not from Johnson City, so it might be a hot minute before we're back, but believe me--if I'm anywhere within sniffin' distance of this town again, I'll be leggin' it back to this place like a man late for mass. Ciaran, our server, was sound as a pound--quick, chatty, callin' us "friends" like he was adoptin' us. Man deserves a raise and a parade. The place is set up for tunes later on, loads of seats, loos clean enough to perform surgery in--madness. Prices? Couldn't argue with 'em even if I wanted to. The missus got fish and chips for eighteen quid, mine was twenty-one. Soft drinks only two quid, and a rake of beers and cocktails if you're feelin' spicy. Absolutely recommend this spot to slake the thirst and sate the hunger--ah now, that's the kind of night that'd put manners on ya.
