WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!! my husband and i came here for…read moremarital counseling- no big issues, just lack of communication. the only benefit was that we ended up bonding over what a TERRIBLE experience this was! the "doctor" (who in fact was not a doctor but rather a social worker) had no clue what was going on, and was more than 20 minutes late both times that we went. the second time, we were locked out of the office for almost half an hour. billing was even more of an issue. intrigue overcharged us and when i confronted them, they told me the payment went to our deductible. after investigating the issue with our insurance company, we learned that they had charged us 3 times more than the allowed rate. after bringing this to abby's attention (abby is the owner) and to the attention of our insurance co., abby promised a speedy refund. it has been 6 weeks since that phone call and i have yet to receive any remuneration. i called again, and a sleepy dope answered the phone to tell me that he could see i was entitled to a refund, but he didn't write the checks and couldn't help me. if you are interested in legitimate counseling services with honest and intelligent providers, STAY AS FAR AWAY AS POSSIBLE. the billing hassle we have been facing for 7 months now (with several hundred dollars at stake) only adds to the pain. i was leary of counseling to begin with, but this experience made that apprehension even worse.

They don't care about you. They only made my life harder. I called beforehand to check if the…read morespecific insurance I was purchasing was in network for their counselor. I only purchased this insurance for their services, I wasn't seeing other doctors. They said it was in-network. The insurance company (Anthem) said that the counselor was in network. So I signed up after my due diligence. After 7 sessions, Anthem decided my counselor was actually not in-network. I tried four appeals with Anthem to adjust to in-network fees. Anthem admitted they falsely listed the counselor as in-network and would pay in-network prices--but no matter how many times I called, they never adjusted their prices. A Beautiful Mind did nothing to help my cause. They just kept calling and mailing me threats to send me to collections as I tried to work it out with Anthem. They never threatened Anthem--they just took whatever Anthem offered, even though there was clearly something fraudulent going on here. Anthem didn't care. A Beautiful Mind didn't care. Anthem got my premiums. A Beautiful Mind gouged out of me what Anthem owed them. I guess it's easier to threaten their clients then a big insurance corporation. In the end, I just paid them so they'd stop harassing me and threatening to ruin my credit. Don't go to them. You can do all your due diligence and at the end of the day they'll make you pay for their mistakes.

This review is for Dr. Erin Leonard who currently practices at Recore Counseling…read moreMy daughter was in Erin's care for a period of 6-8 months. Dr. Leonard was writiing a book at the time she was also counseling my daughter...she was very preoccupied with the book, bit we apparently were allowed to pass through Dr. Leonards perfect little world, and pay bills for awhile. The problems my daughter originally presented with were not taken seriously, nor werr they addressed satifactorily. In fact my daughters problems worsened under Dr. Leonards care, and we eventually terminated ties with the practice. I attended a few sessions with my daughter, and Dr. Leonard mismanaged the joint appointments, and was disrespectful to me as well as doing her best to position my daughter against me. I do not believe the joint sessions were neccesary nor were they helpful to me or my daughter I asked my daughter to compare Dr. Leonard retrospectively to her current psychologist, and she stated that Dr. Leonard " did not do a very good job" and that she felt as though her sessions with Dr. Leonard were actually detrimental. I would not return to Dr. Leonard for help for myself or my family.
