Not only did we invest our trust in Haley Hallee, but our money as well. With that said, we have had a very unfortunate situation occur that everyone should be aware of in case they're considering her services. We have received an incomplete, untouched gallery. After reaching out to Haley constantly she is not responding but most importantly not resolving the issue of our wedding gallery. We feel extremely uncomfortable to have to continuously reach out to seek rectitude for the lack of quality we received in our final wedding gallery. The current gallery consists of untouched formal family photos with closed eyes, multiple duplicates, and many missing moments from our day. I want to acknowledge that we are extremely understanding that life happens. We are parents to a toddler with another little one on the way. We mourned the loss of a grandparent shortly after the wedding. So, we know everyone has personal things going on. However, Haley was under contract to take photos and edit them in a professional manner that matches her portfolio displayed to the world and we received the opposite of that. Again, we have repeatedly reached out asking for reassurance or any communication for that matter that we will, in fact, receive the photos that tell the story of our wedding day. It was in our contract that we had 7 days to notify Haley of any concerns or requests after the initial portfolio upload and we did so within 3 days. Yet, our portfolio is still incomplete today. We can't get this day back, we can't get these memories back and all we are looking for is professionalism, and for Haley to make this right. Recently, her husband Mitchell Hallee took the liberty to add a handful of photos to our album with a different editing style without any acknowledgment of what we had requested. Her husband also mentioned a small refund to our account which only covers our gratuity and nothing of the actual cost of her service. This does not amount to the contracted job she was paid for and they do not have the banking information to make this refund and have made no effort to attain it. We hired Haley for this job therefore, we expect her to at least work with us. It is also important to note that we paid for there to be a second photographer which was not provided despite it being part of the contract. I am writing this to spread awareness of this incredibly unfortunate and disheartening situation. Over these past 6 months I have found a community who share the same experience. My heart goes out to all the brides that never received their special moments.

Their work had already sold me, but getting to chat with them and get a feel for their personalities sealed the deal. From the initial planning stages through our wedding day Bethany and Dan stayed in contact, whether through email or by mail. It's very apparent that they value their clients and that thought goes into every little thing that they do. They were always available to answer any questions we had or address any issue that came up. By the time our wedding day arrived we couldn't wait to meet them! Bethany and Dan arrived on sight on our wedding day, and my husband and I both felt like it was meeting an old friend. They were both warm and inviting and had the type of personality that put even the most nervous of people (both of us that day!) at ease. They were an absolute joy to work with. I love the style and how well they blended the natural environment and elements of our venue into the shots. There's a great balance between the details and the documentary style shots, and candid portraits of the wedding party and guests. Leading up to the wedding, we had no problem getting our questions answered and paying through their online invoicing system. We were able to visit the office and meet our photographers ahead of time and the whole experience was wonderful. We were welcomed with warmth and cupcakes! They pay attention to the details of the whole experience. This is a top-notch company. I had two disappointments (which is the reason why I didn't give a 5-star review. It would be 4.5 if I could!). The first is that photog team did not set up any fill lights for the formal portraits. I should have asked about this ahead of time, but I thought it was standard for professional portraits. At least at every wedding I have been to, there were a few diffusers or flashes set up even if the shooters were photojournalism/documentary style wedding photographers. The faces and eye sockets are more shadowed than I would have hoped. Also, in retrospect, we weren't getting any fun alternate angles for the group portraits, like looking over our shoulders, holding out our bouquets, holding hands, or moving to have a different background such as the lake in addition to having trees as the background. Alas! The second disappointment is that despite two photogs being there for over an hour while there was live music at our reception, we didn't receive a single image of the amazing seven-piece band in action. I would definitely recommend emilie inc. - just make sure you communicate about exactly what your expectations are ahead of time. Once the wedding schedule gets rolling, it is hard to remember your photography wish list. There are more important things to focus on, like being present for your loved ones and celebration! :)
