When I got married I struggled to find a photographer who understood the angles and posing of a plus sized bride and I was unhappy with my photos from that day. Now pregnant I was having the same worries and felt like I just couldn't love my maternity photos no matter who did them. I was so wrong!!! I had tears in my eyes when I received my sneaks, she made me look so beautiful! Even before I saw any finished images though, I left her studio in Mill Creek feeling so special and optimistic! The session was very quick (less than an hour) and she provided three different outfit changes from her gorgeous closet of gowns! One in particular felt so luxe and everyone I show it to wants to know where it's from. I would highly recommend Melissa for her maternity photography services who are plus sized or not- she will make you sparkle and laugh! I'm even more excited to meet my new baby girl now!

As soon as we entered Angie's studio, my husband and I were very impressed to see that she had a lot of props and was very well prepared. We felt so grateful we got a real professional photographer, who was very patient, understanding, creative, and talented. Angie's service was impeccable and she really made sure we were comfortable and had fun at the same time. She came up with the hot coco theme when we didn't have a smash cake. She was so easy to work with and we felt that she understood our baby more than we do. I am very confident in Angie's talent that I am already thinking of planning our second annual family photo with her.

She seems to know how to bring out personality without making things look forced, settings that show off best features and lighting that shines. Particularly with children she knows when they've peaked and had enough. This is a skill! I then formed a connection with Angie and had her do my boudoir. This could've been embarrassing since it came at a time when my child was still a toddler and i had not gotten my body back. she still managed to capture me at my best. i might even say smokin' hot (or my husband thinks so). she comes with all kinds of ideas that are fresh and sexy but don't come across cheesy or trying hard. So i then tested her for one other totally orthogonal skill- professional headshots. um weird, right? Nope, she knew exactly where to take me to get the look I was going for. My consulting business has shined. she helped my personality come across as both intelligent and approachable which is totally my brand. I really can't say enough about Angie. Almost everyone i've referred to her has turned into a close friend of hers. I think that's the highest form of compliment.

The photo session is around a hour and her prices/packages are very reasonable for what you get and have rights to, which is very important in a Facebook world and for future keep savers like the coffee table book. While I am not at all modest, the time she took with my husband and I posing and holding our bump together was even more special than the picture it produced - it was like we took a very quiet, undistracted and initimate moment to be close and know what we created together. I hope everyone gets to have that same experience, it's worth it.

Right from setting up the appointment (which was very seamless and professional), to providing recommendations on shoot locations and weather, it was a very low touch experience on our end (which was great, given we had hectic work schedules). On the day of the shoot, she made us feel extremely comfortable when posing and did not make us feel conscious at all (She knows how to provide positive reinforcement!)...she has some excellent ideas and follows it up with great shots and editing bar none. During the shoot, she was also very friendly and provided me (a budding photographer) some very useful tips on cameras, lenses and photography in general. At no point did we feel rushed or pressed for time, as her goal was to take the best possible photographs (the weather was brilliant on that day) and create a lifetime of sweet memories. She was also open to ideas from us and executed flawlessly on some requests we had. Once we were done with the shoot, Heleyna underpromised and overdelivered, which was a delight, because we received the edited photos in our inbox in 2 days (she had said upto a week). Payment was very easy and she provided great customer service and value when we made our decisions on how many photos we wanted. From observing her passion taking photographs and experimenting with various techniques, it is apparent that she loves her job and takes it very seriously. The pictures came out really really well and our friends and family cannot say enough! THANK YOU HELEYNA! We hope to continue working with you once our baby daughter is born!
