I was recently a TruFit member and my gf was a Golds member. She wanted me to workout with her one…read moreday so I went to the TowerPoint Golds and boy was it AMAZING. it is a clean, large, and very diverse gym that blew TruFit out of the water hands down. All of there equipment was clean, internet worked, everything worked, and it was the way a gym is meant to be. The amount of equipment and services that they offer is fantastic and the hours they operate under are even better. However, probably the best thing about it is their staff. I had to sign in a computer with all of my info as a guest and knew that I would receive a call from someone trying to get coaxed into getting a membership. Sure enough in a days time I received a call from Mr. Marcell. I cant remember where I put his card but I cant imagine too many Marcells that work there. Anyways, Mr. Marcell was an absolute wonder to work with. He was very straight forward, honest, and was persistent but not pushy at all. He gave me a weeks access to allow me to asses the gym on multiple days and hours to see the various crowds, try out the equipment, and just really get a good feel of everything that this Golds had to offer. Marcell kept in touch with me the whole way through and was always willing to answer any question that I may have had. He worked extremely hard in making sure that I received the FULL Golds experience but in a way that wasn't to just try to get a new membership for Golds. Marcell was seriously more concerned that I was happy, approved of their facilities, and felt confident enough that Golds would satisfy my need for a healthier lifestyle. Marcell definitely made my experience and solidified my decision to join the Golds family. I had been a TruFit/Aerofit member for years and they just don't even compare on any level that Golds does...especially the Tower Point location and Marcells due diligence. I just had to make sure that I could take a moment out of my extremely hectic schedule to ensure Golds got the reputation they deserve and that if you are considering a membership at Golds, even if just slightly, go to the Tower Point one and make sure that you ask for Marcell...he's the man for the job!!!!! -Daniel P. P.S. I live in COllege Station and not California...im not sure why that is showing up.

At the very least this note could have been explicitly stated on the website before you come in. Seems to be a scam technique just to get you to pay for a day pass. Also, the hymn itself is extremely low quality. Rugged, clunky equipment. Really disappointed with my first experience with this place.

The TVs can only be heard if the audio app is working and often it's not. There's limited channel choices. The WiFi connection is sketchy. Sometimes have d to connect. The pool is a lap pool with just 2 lanes so wait you turn or awkwardly share a lane. Also the pool is VERY COLD. If you like it that way, go for it. The whirlpool is good and so it the sauna and showers. The worst thing about it is the layout of the small locker room, men's anyway (I assume women's is same. Only 6 small changing areas with 6 small benches. If you dress in an area where another is dressing at the same time, one of you must move. Hate it. As long as I am somewhat flexible in the order I do my lifts I seldom have to wait. I am one of the first people to join this gym under the original owners and have been working out…read morehere for over 3 years. Thanks to Anytime Fitness, I lost over 70 lbs and a lot of hard work. Thankfully, I've had some good help along the way. I've seen it grow from a tiny gym to what it is now. I have been there through the downturn, great people who worked there and have left, and finally its transition to new owners in the Summer of 2016. Normally, I don't write many reviews and I initially held back to review Anytime Fitness in CS again until I could see what our new owners would do with the gym. Thankfully, I am happy to say that Steve & the Zach's have really turned this gym around by adding a lot of new equipment, cleaning up the place, and changed the atmosphere from one of just a place to workout to a place that feels welcoming. Pros: Outside of the normal its 24 hours, great location, etc, there are a few things that I think everyone should look for when picking a new gym. Here are a few that Steve and his team at Anytime Fitness in CS bring to the table. 1.) Great atmosphere: Every person that comes to the gym is there to get better. As such, they encourage everyone else there to improve themselves too. It feels welcoming and people shouldn't feel intimidated to workout here. We are here to improve and we need help with others to do so. 2.) Lots of new equipment: the original gym was sparse for equipment. Steve has added several new machines, a leg press, ropes, more kettlebells, and other various equipment since taking over. Its much easier to get things done and keep your workouts ever changing with new exercises. 3.) Great management and ownership: I worked for HEB for 13 years. I firmly believe that walking up and shaking someones hand goes a long way with a customer. A quick wave or hello always makes one feel welcome. Steve and his team make sure that his customers feel welcome to their gym. Its a long overdue and welcome change since previously people would just hang out in the front office and rarely say hi (Not since Seth and Syd left have I felt this welcomed). Cons:I really only have complaint: Its a small gym in a small space: The location is great but the space we have now is small. It can get pretty crowded in there, especially after 5pm on the week days. While all the new equipment is awesome, we have seen floor space diminish quickly. Great thing is that everyone who works out here tries their best to work around each other. Don't be afraid to ask to work in a set or borrow a dumbbell that someone is using. We all work together to help each other. Overall, I am happy with the changes that Steve and his team have implemented. I will keep encouraging people to join up and meet with Steve. They have plans to add another anytime fitness in Bryan in 2017 and more plans to expand our gym to the space next door after. I am excited to see what the future brings to this gym. Thank you to Steve and his team for everything they do.

They clearly have it posted they are open 24hr a day during the week which is why I joined. As I was writing this review, I saw a group of people waiting by the door so I drove up to ask them what they were doing. They pointed out that even though it states open 24hr Mon-Fri that in the small print it does say that on Monday, they open at 5am. I looked at my watch and said "well...its 5:15am now". A guy in the group said there is a heavyset Hispanic guy who works there that never shows up on time. This would explain why I have made the drive 3 times and they weren't open. Before I left, I saw the guy they were referring to pull up. He was moving in slow motion getting out of his car walking to the door. Clearly he did not care about the group waiting. It was going to be another 10 minutes for him to in-forward the phones, turn on the music and TVs, turn on the lights and A/C. To his defense...I saw an ad that they were hiring (for 3hr a week). The pay is either $12 or $13hr which is a joke. So it's no wonder the staff doesn't care if they show up on time. I'm going to check out Planet Fitness where it's actually open 24hr a day.

**TruFit and the Prisoner of the Never-Ending Membership**…read more *By the Half-Billed Prisoner, reporting for The Daily Prophet* Thirty minutes after my Dear John letter appeared in **The Daily Prophet**, my phone erupted like a raven cawing an omen. An unfamiliar local number flashed across the screen. I shook my head in disbelief. Could it be? Had the labyrinth finally surrendered its exit? After the calls, the emails, and appearing in person, had my pleas reached someone with the authority to release me? A representative of the House of TruFit was calling. I initially understood him to be the manager, although his actual rank remains unclear. For this account, he shall be known as **Professor Umbridge's underling**. His concern about my review was clear. Would I remove it if he helped resolve my cancellation? A few hours later, he called back. He could **NOW** process my request to sever my allegiance to the House of TruFit. I merely had to appear in person. At the same location where I had already appeared in person. The location that had told me cancellation could not be performed within its walls. Apparently, publication in The Daily Prophet had unlocked the restricted section. I returned to the fortress, carrying the fragile hope of a woman who had already spent far too much of her life trying to stop paying for exercise she wasn't doing. There, the underling disclosed the final condition of my release: **another full month's payment to break the recurring withdrawal spell tethered to my dwindling vault at Gringotts.** One final tribute. Then freedom. Let us pause here, dear reader, because beneath the theatrics was an experience I found grueling and demeaning. During my first visit, I was questioned about why I wanted to cancel and why I had joined in the first place. I felt judged. I had entered to end a membership and somehow found myself defending my choices before the Ministry of Magical Muscle. Along the way came the familiar incantations: "I'm new in this position." "That's policy." The buck passed through more hands than a cursed locket. My cancellation remained beyond reach. But after my public review, someone at that very location could suddenly help. I paid the additional month. My membership was canceled. The enchantment was broken. And almost immediately, the underling brought up the review again. Of course. Before the escaped prisoner had even cleared the gates, The Daily Prophet required attention. I assured him I would update it. **So here is the record: I was initially told this location could not cancel my membership. After my public review, a representative contacted me, asked about removing it, and ultimately arranged cancellation at that same location. I was required to pay another month to leave.** I appreciate that the matter was finally resolved. That does not erase the effort, frustration, or discomfort it took to get there. The House of TruFit noticed my public farewell within about 30 minutes. I wish my original request to leave had inspired the same urgency. I may not own an evil empire. I may not carry a wand. My Gringotts vault is certainly lighter. **But I can leave a review.** *Respectfully submitted,* **The Half-Billed Prisoner** *Finally freed from the Chamber of Recurring Charges.*
