There is outside seating and since it was nice weather that is what we did. The restrooms are located on the third floor inside and I could see that the beer house is quite large. There is a menu in English if you ask. The beer list is not super large, about 5-6 beers as I remember, all unfiltered which I thought would be a problem but it was not. I ordered a half liter of the pilsner which was quite nice. In fact, nice enough to have another! The food menu is large and from the different things people got it seems to be high quality. A lot of people ordered white asparagus with hollandaise sauce, another person got a pizza-type meal. I opted for a more traditional dish: bratwurst with mashed potatoes. I was hoping to find German potato salad but it was not on the menu. My dish was very tasty and delicious. The dark beer sauce that was over the brat and potatoes was one of the most delicious sauces I ever had. It was outstanding. The only thing I did not like was that the brat was sliced, not a link. The price was a bit high I thought at 13.90 euro but not outrageously overpriced. If you sit outside people will smoke. That's just the way it is. The place was quite popular and a lot of fun. Service was very good. I highly recommend this place for beers and dinner.

The beers at Goldhopfen were cheap and good; the bartender was very interesting and clearly had a passion for service and bartending. We each had a couple of the local Weiße Elster pale ales and sat out at a small table on the sidewalk. Although we didn't spend much time inside, it looked like there was a variety of games to play and areas to sit. We were also able to get some beers to-go upon leaving. I hope Goldhopfen stays in business and gains some traction in this neighborhood - it's a great place for a chill night!

They have a 10 euro 4-taster flight of all the draft beers that is a pretty good deal and they always have some kind of IPA on draft. Last night the draft beers were IPA, pale ale, lager and pils. The vibe of this place is very relaxed. It almost feels like you are in your friends basement. There is plenty of seating inside and also a little outdoor patios space. The bar also stays stocked up on a variety of board games that you can play. Overall a very relax, chill hang-out vibe.

Beware of the parking scam there at Kreuzberg. I got a ticket stating that I didn't pay for parking…read moreand parking was a certain fee per hour. When I parked at the parking lot I had to register my license plate number and I paid for the full day. There was no option for an hour rate. There was a sign also that stated that parking all day is 3 euro. I paid the three euro and then a week later I got a parking ticket stating that the amount paid wasn't righ. This is stupid as hell because when you leave the parking lot you have to register again so that you pay the right amount. This didn't make sense because there was a sign that said 3 euro all day parking which I did paid. Also the letter didn't state how long I was there and how much I already paid. They want me to pay 45 euro for the fine. I would recommend that you don't park there or complain if you are being scammed or have been scammed. Also the parking is run by a private company which made this experience a bad one. I would recommend that Kreuzberg find another company to do business because this makes the Kreuzberg Monastery look bad and they will be getting more negative reviews.

Make sure you get some euro out, too. Once there, you park down the hill from the monastery (1.50 euro) and walk up. Secure a nice table and then make your way to the drinks booth and orders as much beer as you want (remember you are also paying for the deposit, if you want it back return the mugs and/or bottles). But if you are going to make a meal of it, grab a tray then head to the register and order your food. The menu are on the walls, but also online. Anything pork or sausage is great. If you aren't too hungry, get some bread, butter, and cheese and enjoy the beer. Roast pork is great so if you are hungry check it out! Sit inside if its cold or rainy, but beware its packed and you'll have to fight to just share a table. If its nice, go outside, the atmosphere is very pleasant, plus it won't be so loud. They offer tours and they have a gift shop inside. But if anything just have a beer, it won't dissapoint.

Der Biergarten ist übersichtlich...aber dafür in keinem optisch guten Zustand. Tische und Bänke sind stark beansprucht ....und von der blauen Farbe sind an manchen Garnituren nur noch Reste. Beim umsehen innen....ein ähnliches Bild.Die schwarz lackierten Stühle und Bänke haben schon ziemliche Gebrauchsspuren. Bei naturbelassenem Holz in braun würde das vermutlich nicht so stark auffallen....aber bei schwarz sticht das schon ins Auge. Unsere bestellten Essen kamen zeitnah.Vom Gemüsecurry über Schnitzel und Schäuferla gegrillter Haxen war alles vertreten.Die gegrillte Haxe und das Schulterstück hatten wohl die gleiche,etwas dünne Soße. Grundsätzlich was das Essen in Ordnung....portionsgröße normal...aber alles in allem war es nur Standart....Nichts besonderes. Der Feinschliff ...und das Auge für Details fehlt.Und der Biergarten direkt vorm Eingang ist nunmal auch ein Aushängeschild....was aber einer überarbeitet bedarf.
