I sadly report that Bratton Dental from the very first visits seemed to be really unprofessional in patient care. There is so much more I could report on but I will begin here. After impressions at the beginning of care, I was shown a resin model of the teeth and asked to sign off on the approval or choice of the color of the teeth. I took a photograph of the resin model that they were requesting I sign off on. When I asked was that the wax model I was signing off on? No response....the next visit the wax model was presented, not the resin one, I took a photograph of it and stated the color was incorrect. I was scheduled for another visit for approval and the color was again incorrect. I asked to see the sample color I chose to compare and that seemed to be the only thing that accomplished the color correction. I went for the third approval and the color was correct but the teeth were horribly out of alignment. I asked the assistant to please show it to Dr. Bratton and Dr Bratton saw it and realized it was out of alignment and needed correction. I don't know who was actually approving any of the work being done before I arrived. The final approval was given by Dr. Bratton. I did not see the prosthesis to approve it. The prosthesis was given to me to take to the oral surgeon that Dr.Bratton had recommended. As soon as I saw it with my untrained eye I could see it was asymmetrical and poorly done. Upon arriving at the oral surgeons office his staff looked at it disappointedly and said that wanted to show it to the doctor first before any surgery prep. After being taken to the consultation room, Dr. Yungbluth said he did not feel good about using the prosthesis. He felt I would not be happy with it and it would immediately fail. What unbelievably awesome integrity. He could have just moved forward with the surgery, not saying anything to me , and let me struggle to deal with all of it later. The creation of it did not have anything to do with his work. It was being presented to him by a fellow dentist. He chose not to move forward. I highly recommend Dr. Yungbluth and his staff. They are to be commended for their patient care and integrity. They are Operating above and beyond all expectations. I am deeply grateful for their support.
He did not choose to do the oral surgery that day and he referred me to another dental office. He felt confident that they would do a much better job.
I asked Dr. Bratton for a refund and her office has refused to return my money. My question is why take my money when I specifically asked to be referred to someone else that was capable of meeting my financial request. Dr Bratton required the purchase of a second prosthesis in a year and I didn't want to pay twice for the same product . I told her staff that I would personally research and find someone that only required one. I requested that early on before anything had been done. I had paid Dr Bratton in full, at the consultation. Dr. Bratton did not want to refund the money. She agreed it could be done without purchasing the second appliance in a year. I wonder how many of her patients after going through her process return in a year for a second one to be made? I would bet they don't. Dr. Bratton chose to continue with the treatment. And....The problems began. Any depth of operating with Integrity is missing in that office.
What is happening to our health care professionals? I don't feel this office has the best interest of the patient in mind. I truly understand dentists need to make a reasonable income and I support that but the ability to communicate and serve their clients fairly has diminished. The ability to listen to their clients and respond in a supportive professional manner is lost.
When she was unhappy with my choice, at the very beginning of our conversations, when I suggested that I needed to find another dentist to help me meet my dental and financial needs, at that exact moment she could have refunded me the money and I would have happily moved on. We moved forward with the agreement if one and she preceded to create one issue after another. Asking me to approve a color on a resin model? She was standing in the room when that request was made. There wasn't any color to approve.
I even offered to help her by taking only half of the total I paid her. In all fairness to her expenses, I was trying to offer a fair resolution. Still no refund. She and her office are a tremendous disappointment.
I sincerely cannot recommend her office for any dental needs. read more
