Fast forward 5 years to NEGMC Braselton and what a difference in the quality of care and attention…read moregiven here at the hospital. 5 yrs ago, this place was brand new and I was dealing with my mother who is ill and passed away in 2021 this place was not up and going yet and the experience in the ER was shockingly unacceptable. April 22, five years later, I live in Winder now and I had a heart attack and my son took me to Winder Hospital where they didn't have a heart surgeon available. I was rushed over here to Braselton to the ER for emergency surgery and then spent the last three days in ICU, recovering from an unexpected heart attack and experience. I never thought I would have to go through. The staff here has been phenomenal. From the surgery by Dr Patel to the nurses who care for me for three days I had unbelievable care, my day nurse Deborah was outstanding and having never spent time in intensive care. They made it as pleasant as could be. Having met my first major medical issue in years, I thought it necessary to give this hospital a a review from the patient's side, not from a caregiver side, which is a totally different perspective. From being loaded in the ambulance and Winder and Durban over here that only was the Winder staff on point and supportive, the ambulance, driver and support in the back was comforting, and kept me calm, to the welcoming at the ER and finding my way to awaiting surgeons standing in the hallway to perform emergency surgery, I remained comfortable, the staff, and I wish I could name them. All allowed me to get through this experience to a quick recovery that I cannot be more appreciative of. And although I haven't got the bill, which will probably put me back in the hospital. I was reminded each time they ripped hair for to put new sticky pads on that. This was a free wax job, if losing a few hairs was the worst part of the process. I think I can live with that. Thank you all for a fantastic job. Most appreciative and humbled.!!!

This E.R. has a rogue "nurse". I spent the day here, having all sorts of medical tests. One young…read moregal who identified herself as a "nurse" kept coming in the room criticizing the P.A. who was in charge of me. I liked the P.A., he was very thorough and friendly. Yet all day she would come in claiming he was ignoring me, that she was left to care for me. This went on for hours. Then I got released. Next day I checked my medical records and SURPRISE. All sorts of wild claims written about ME in MY medical chart. I never said a word to this gossipy nurse, I only replied said "yes", "no" and REPEATEDLY said "thank you" to her. I don't get why she was so damned fixated on being angry at the P.A., and now I am positive the things she claimed he said and did were lies. Very scary behavior. I have called the hospital several times over the past week to complain, but they haven't returned my calls. Word up! Be careful if you get a "nurse" who constantly gripes about your E. R. healthcare provider!

After interviewing two other surgeons, I heard about Dr. Schwartz--and I am so thankful I did. He…read moreis the only surgeon in the area would do an Aesthetic Flat Closure at same time as a bilateral mastectomy. He is not only an excellent surgeon, but someone who truly cares about his patients. He took the time to make sure both my husband and I fully understood every aspect of the procedure and what to expect, never rushing our questions. He also worked to get my surgery scheduled within the timeline I wanted, which meant a great deal to us. Most importantly, the final result was exactly what I hoped for. I highly recommend Dr. Schwartz to anyone seeking both exceptional surgical skill and genuine compassion.

To my absolute delight, he is one of the only doctors in the area that does both a mastectomy and reconstruction at the same time (saving an incredible amount of time and money in the long run). The whole office is full of a caring and competent staff. Dr. Schwartz is incredibly talented, direct and made everything so easy. He did such an amazing job and I still feel completely like myself. It's a very difficult period of time for anyone, but I honestly don't think it could have gone any better. I can't recommend them enough.
