She wasn't interested, so I went back to buy the black walnut. The elderly man there asked what I'd like to try and I told him I had tried the black walnut earlier. I told him I was going to buy some of it and asked if I could also try the dark chocolate. He got a sour look on his face and got me a sample of it. Then he said "I guess you can't read, can you?" Among the jumble of notes taped to the counter, one said "one sample per customer", and he pointed to it. I told him if he doesn't want me as a customer, I would leave. In a sarcastic voice, he said loudly, "SEE YUH!!!" I went and got my wife and told her we wouldn't be spending any money there. An employee asked what was wrong and I told her. She said, "he shouldn't have said that, but he's tired - we had a lot of people through today." That's no excuse. If you won't respect people, find a new line of work.

With one phone call the lady at Petal Pushers suggested one dozen long stemmed red roses individually tied with ribbon and an additional spray. When I picked them up they were wrapped so that each rose and spray could be removed separately. This was a big hit with the staff as I made the rounds delivering an individual rose to each person, including the primary doctor. Thanks for helping bring some joy in a time of national concern.
