I highly recommend Ferrarini Home Transformations to anyone in need of a kitchen remodel. I was…read morevery paranoid and fearful about hiring a contractor after hearing so many horror stories from friends and co-workers. My house still hold its historical integrity, and the kitchen was the first major alteration, so I was really worried that I would not find a local contractor to take on my project, but Ferrarini came in and worked through the project with me. There were a few historical elements in my kitchen that I did not want to lose, surprisingly Donna and the crew were very understanding and went out there way not only to preserve my windows and window sill, but they made them look 10x better. Donna gave me such great ideas to really utilize my space without compromising the historical value. Once the construction started they were really efficient and quick. We did run into a few speed bumps with the delivery of the appliances, but Ferrarini was very proactive and worked with me until the kitchen was 100% complete. When it was all completed I was just amazed at the huge difference from what my kitchen looked liked before and after. Now my family and I spend most of our time hanging out in the kitchen.

Carole Lee of Carole Lee Interiors is, as is typical, a general contractor, which means, beyond her…read moredecorating skills, she's only as good as her subcontractors, be they rug designers, carpet installers, furniture makers, concrete layers, home remodelers or fabric sewers. Carole has a good eye for what is right, but sometimes you will, naturally, disagree. The quality work of her subcontractors ranges from A (the majority) to D+; that comes to a B-. She has been written-up and lauded in local magazines. Nevertheless, from time to time a few workers need to return to fix mistakes, and the vast majority have done so. Once in a while she can't persuade a subcontractor to return, and this will cost YOU time, money and a headache to hire someone else to correct a problem or finish a job. (In my latest interaction two such workers wouldn't return.) I have infrequently used Carole Lee Interiors on-and-off for about 30 years, more extensively recently. She is quite personable and has very good decorating skills, but the questionable work of a few key subcontractors should give one pause when choosing an interior/exterior designer and decorator.

Helio did the construction and is incredibly talented, kind, and patient. Nancy guided us with the layout of everything. They gave us 7 layouts to select from based on our discussions. The only thing I wish they could have offered which they didn't is the ability for us to preview all of our material and fixture and color selections put together as a finished product. It's scary to invest so much money without knowing how it might look in the end. They did provide 3-D renderings of the rooms with the cabinets but the rendering were not interactive with material selections. That would be a nice addition to their services. In the end though, we love our kitchen!!
