Brandon Tandoori offers a wide selection to satisfy the most mild or heat-loving pallets. After several visits, I haven't found anything negative about the food. The tikka masala and korma are the best I've had around here. Service is a little slow, especially for groups. Takeaway is just as good as dining in and they offer great lunch deals and a cash discount. This place is definitely worth checking out!

Food was good. But tonight's order was a disaster! I ordered from *their* website but the…read morerestaurant said they did not receive it despite my card being charged and receiving an order confirmation. The guy said I can reorder since I'm there and so I did. Not only did I have to wait for the food but was told that I would have to contact a third party for a refund! He had to charge my card for the reorder and it was left to me to correct their mistake by contacting a third party for a refund for the online order?! It's completely absurd and a lack of accountability for them to place the legwork on their customers when they are trying to cut out the middleman that they promote on their own website! We are here on holiday and making international calls to correct someone else's mistakes is not a getaway. There was ONE person servicing the tables. He tried his best to help but he said he's new and there was no manager onsite. It's such a poorly run operation that puts their incompetence and greed over their customers. Avoid! The food does not make up for the inconvenience, experience, and lack of service.

We did not want walk long, and just went across street, We did not expect much. To our surprise we found a such delight authentic southern Indian food, everything was delicious, the waiter was friendly and quick, told me I ordered too much and suggested I should order one less item. My daughter will spend 3 years in Cambridge, we will definitely come back more.

From the street, it looks like most any inocuos restaurant from the street. But once you walk in, you are happily greeted and find yourself in a much-larger-from-the-inside-than-it-looks-outside kinda place (funny I would find something like this in England, but that's another story altogether.) Anyway, inside the place is very nicely decorated - elegantly I would say, and the waiters are dressed to wait on you as if you were at the Ritz. The service was maybe a bit slow, but it made up for it in their patience with us, and how well they checked on us throughout the meal. Now, speaking of the meal - what a spread they have available on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. For under 20-pounds per person, you can select an appetizer, main dish, vegetable side (or naan bread) and rice. The portions they bring out are big - so big none of us could finish it, and they bring it out in style that allowed us to try each other's main dish and sides. Not only a delicious meal, but a pleasant experience had by all. If you're every in Lakenheath and drive by this very plain looking Indian restaurant and decide not to give it another look - put that thought out of your mind and give them a try. You won't be disappointed...

The storefront is rather unobtrusive while the interior is relatively cozy with a sedate atmosphere. I went in on a Sunday evening and it was moderately busy. However, I was on my own and was able to be seated quite quickly. My server attended to me right away and did a very good job taking care of me. The menu offered several favorites. I chose the Chicken Dopiaza as a main accompanied by Punjabi Chole and Peshwari Naan. It was all excellent. The contrast between the sweet taste of the naan and the spice of the curry proved a very good combination. My final bill with everything included (drink, food and tax) was £23.95. This was just under $32 USD at the time. I was quite happy with this value. I will consider another visit next time I am in Cambridge.

Vedanta, on the other hand, eschews this ubiquitous practice of "over-oiling" in favor of a more finesse-based approach. The end product is an absolutely delightful array of curry comestibles. Ample vegetarian options are available on the menu. It is certainly not the spiciest eating establishment in Cambridge - but if you are a heat-seeker, you can certainly ask the staff the increase the spice-level if you are so inclined. In sum, a delicious option for standard North Indian fare within easy walking distance of the bus station and the train station. As a one time student at the university, I searched extensively for the best place in town to get a curry - and this is undoubtedly it! Pro Tip: You should consider making a reservation on weekends, as it can sometimes get busy - otherwise you might have to wait for a bit for a table to open up.
