I DO NOT recommend this place. I went there 3 years ago…read moreand the dentist said I needed about $600 worth of work to be done (my portion that wasn't covered by insurance) which was several cavities. She did the work over a period of about nine months and said everything looked good. I went back in 6 months for a checkup, after a tooth broke off, and (a different dentist) said I needed the tooth removed and that I needed a significant amount of work and she would prepare a plan. I had the tooth removed by an oral surgeon and when I went back (now another different dentist) she said I needed about $4,000 of work done (my portion that wasn't covered by insurance). She didn't have an explanation of why I needed the extensive work except to say my teeth were much worse that they thought. I was skeptical about that plan so went to a reputable dentist in Pella and his diagnosis was that I had dry mouth and all of my teeth would be breaking off in the next couple of years - he did say he could do $4-5,000 worth of restorative work but I'd be wasting my money. He said I'd likely need all of my teeth removed in a few months and then need dentures - his diagnosis turned out to be exactly correct. Either Associated Dentists doesn't know what they are doing - or maybe they do - but the theme here seems to be get the customer to spend as much as possible whether it will be beneficial to their health, or not.

I don't give many 5 star reviews but this place is definitely getting one. They have been very…read moreeasy to work with even when most of my requests are late in the afternoon. They have even stayed past 5:30pm to complete my dental appointments. The staff are all very friendly. My last procedure was to have a wisdom tooth cut out. It is really nice to know I can go to my regular dentist to have them take care of my problems with my teeth instead of being forced to go other places like an oral surgeon.

Now after moving across the…read morecountry to Arizona and finding one of the top rated dentists in Phoenix I have discovered that they did not. I repeatedly asked them to check my pockets for the depth every time I had my teeth cleaned and they flat out refused, having had periodontal disease in the past (which they knew about). I know have to have deep scaling under the gums done, which even with insurance is costing me over $1000.00. Also, Dr. Rabedeaux totally missed that my back upper molar with a silver filling in it was deteriorating and cracking, I just saw him in December of 2018. I now have the additional expense of at the least a crown, which after insurance is over $500.00, and worse case scenario will be a root canal. I know you people in Newton are limited in choice of dentist, but drive to Des Moines or suffer my fate. Dr. Rabedeaux you should be ashamed of yourself.
