They came through, when I needed them the most! Comprehensive review below. Problem: Late night, our Nissan truck overheated about 12 miles from home. Next day, I called Brakes Plus-Commerce City to see if they could look at it. Yep, I retuned the next day with coolant to our parked truck. My solution: I figured the Thermostat was bad, so I added a gallon of coolant and drove with the Heater on full. Surely I could drive 12 miles to Brakes Plus. Nope! Drove about 8 miles--that's it. Stuck on E470. Actions: Called E470 Roadside Assist. No towing recommendations. Called State Farm--no recommendations. Called two Towing companies I know. They couldn't get to me for many hours (this is the Christmas holidays). Called Brakes Plus. They recommended Quality Performance Towing LLC. Yep! Jose was on his way! He hooked up, towed, and gave me a VERY REASONABLE FEE! Highly recommend his company!!! Service: Brakes Plus did a pressure test on the radiator, and there was a small crack at the top (explains why the coolant sprayed under the entire hood instead of the overflow pipe!). I asked them to replace the radiator, Thermostat (just makes sense for a $21 part), and rotate tires. On further inspection, the front brake pads were at 2mm and the driver's wheel bearing needed packing. I figured the bearing had an issue because the truck pulled to the left and made shudder vibrations on hard turns. Battery amps were low too, but I recently replaced the battery, so I asked them to check the Alternator. Yep! The alternator's diode has ripple current, which leads to inconsistent battery charging. I can live with that for a while longer. Long story longer: Michael and the entire team, clearly detailed each service, the cost, the diagnostic results, and the warranty on each item--including labor. I know people in Reunion area that will go to "the other repair service company," (as I did for many years), but Brakes Plus is thorough, knowledgeable, fast, and efficient! Have been with these guys and tthey have worked on all the vehicles, there has been no incidents of having to charge me when they dont have to.. beey recently i opted out of my dealership trying get me into an Alignment i did not need for $170,was smart enough to say no,only to bring this vehicle to my regular 104th service cener to realize i didn't really need an Alignment...Keep the good job up guys. read more

5 Star service!! Let's face it, it's hard to find any repair shop open on a Saturday, but Brakes Plus was open and the got me taken care of within a couple of hours. The store manager (Vanessa Chavez) was quick to diagnose and repair my problem, even though it was a complex job with multiple failing parts. In this case, they installed HID headlamp replacements in two different cars (on the same day), and when one of them failed they repaired it for free. - - I am a customer for life, because these folks (especially Vanessa) are reasonably priced, open on Saturdays, and they are excellent mechanics. Dropped my car off there for some brake pad repairs and rotor exchange weeks ago, came home and thought *rotors and pads are just bound to squeak when they're brand new* but this went on for weeks. Finally decided to take a look and remove the wheels, my cars tires are torqued to 72 ft-lbs it was well over torqued and I was struggling to get the lug nuts off. Torqued to about 100 ft-lbs which is absolutely ridiculous for my small car. It was over torqued so bad that some of my wheel studs snapped off and I had to repair it myself; because someone definitely just used an impact gun instead of properly using their proper tools to install my tires. To whoever this manager is or the foreman you need to watch over your crew and make sure they're doing procedures correctly it's not cool having the customer fix the technicians problem because they just want to get the vehicle out on time people would rather have their cars fixed right the first time. If you want people to give you business have integrity and be honest even when there isn't a supervisor around. read more

Won't be back. 2pm appt. Dropped off 1:45. Walked to State House for lunch. Got a call that it was done at 2:05, hadn't gotten my food yet. Walked back at 2:35, could tell my tires hadn't been rotated when I walked by. Told the guy to check with the mechanic, who stated NOTHING had been done to my car yet. I'm still here at 3:20 waiting for my car to be done. Had I not been more aware of my car, I would've paid $90 for NOTHING and driven away. Buyer beware. When I went to cash out the guy didn't even go over any detail of my service. However, I over heard the mechanic talking about corrosion of my battery and asked about that. If they rotated my tires, as I paid for, I should've been alerted the PSI of each tire and if any were low. I felt like they thought I was some dumb female and could be taken advantage of. read more

Took my sons 2020 Silverado to get the brakes done. charged almost $1000. They change the brakes, but did not put in brake mode and broke one of the centers then they called me and said it arrived like that. They kept the truck for three days and still wasn't able to get it working properly. They told me to pick it up and take it to a dealership .. it was easy as putting it in brake mode and disconnecting the battery. before they changed the rear brakes .. I'm out the money they charged me plus what the dealership is going to charge. I do not recommend these location.. read more

Robbie really took care of me. I had a broken part that was very expensive to replace, so he helped to do a temporary "fix" to it that will hopefully last me a while. They also gave me multiple discounts that took my total to a reasonable level. They are working to try to make the customer satisfied with their service. read more

My car was making a grinding noise and the brakes plus team took the time to determine what the issue was. Update for 2022: well this place has really gone down hill fast. Took my car in for an oil change and tire rotation. TPMS light came on after the service, called them and they said I would have to take it somewhere else to have reset. Why would you perform a service you can't reset the TPMS? Just in 2000 miles and computer says it's time for an oil change. Again, please do your job and reset this reminder. Went to check the oil today and the air filter was not properly latched down. Wow , never going back here to get my 4 vehicles serviced. Really disappointed as this used to be a decent place to have your call serviced, trust completely lost. read more

I had broken oil plug, and they were able to help and work with me to get it out. They did a great job!!! Super fast and reliable!!

So, I'm going to try and be as direct as I can and tell my side of the story only and what part I played. My friend texts me, "Hey, my car is making some really weird sounds and it's doing this weird shaking thing, can you look at it when you get to school later? I just got an oil change and a coolant flush done recently." I've worked on cars in the past and I've helped her with some minor issues before. on a previous vehicle. I say, "Absolutely, but definitely don't drive it, those are not the good kind of noises an engine should make." I get to the school later a bit after noon and open the hood, first thing I check, the oil, to make sure whoever serviced it didn't leave the filter loose or the oil plug was stripped and leaked out or something of that nature. Nope, oil looks good. Next, I go over, look at the coolant overflow.... empty, hmmm. I pop the radiator cap, look down.....not a drop of fluid, dry to the bottom. "Well, I found your problem, no radiator fluid, which is a really not good thing buddy" I then proceed to figure out the how, I've done many many coolant flushes in the past, I know how they're hooked up. I grab the big top hose, see that it's connected well to the radiator right by the radiator cap, I follow it over to where it hooks up to the engine...... Clear as day, the hose is hanging there, clamp pulled back, 100% not connected to the engine port. "I found the real problem, they didn't hook your hose back up when they were done." Then follows a few unkind curse words and they snap a picture of the hose in question. I proceed to hook the hose back up for her and reclamp it. I grab the half of a jug of coolant I have in my car and pour it in her radiator. Telling her "You needs to get ahold of the people that worked on your car last, cause they are definitely responsible. I mean, whoever did the coolant flush, they legit left the hose off, can't get any more plain than that." I'm thinking, hey, this company is pretty established, they take care of their customers,, I just got my car worked on at the brakes plus in Glendale and they did excellent work, so something like this should be easy..... Nope, they denied everything, my friend said to me "The manager says that the technician wouldn't have used that hose because it's "Not how the procedure says to do it". Which for one is total BS, you can definitely do a coolant flush from where it was detached, in fact, it would probably be a better location than over by the radiator cap, because of all the extra room you'd have to get the coolant machine fitting on there, with extra room to work. This manager, fully believes his tech, which I understand and continues to deny they did anything, starts trying to point fingers at other issues with the car, to shift the blame to a prior issue, they keep it overnight, over the weekend, still refuse to do anything about it, claiming it's not their fault, so my friend gets her car and takes it elsewhere. That's about as far as we are now. My apologies for the novel, but this kind of stuff makes me furious. Be a man, own up to your mistakes and pay your dues for them when you make them. I don't know if the manager that was working this day has brought this up to the owner, but I know the owner reads these reviews, so Mr. Business Owner. Did your manager tell you about this issue? I'm sure he can figure out which one this is about. I for one, will stay away from this place like the plague and will tell every person I know that even has a remote chance of passing this place, to stay away and to tell their friends and their friends friends, to stay clear. Until It's proven that your guys own up to their mistake and make it right. I know you guys are insured for just such an occasion as this, so pay the damn deductible and get her car fixed. There are a million car places around here, your ability and your word are the only things that can set you apart from all the others. I went to Brakes Plus in Commerce City/Reunion to get my car's oil changed but also because I needed brakes and rotors. Unlike many other facilities, I was told I needed additional items (which I knew I didn't need anyway) and was not pressured into extra purchases (like wiper blades). I was informed of the recommended service dates per mileage of a few standard maintenance things (timing belt and struts) and informed of how many months out I was from needing to fix them and the approximate cost of the repairs so I could plans for them. The service manager (Jason) talked me thru my options and helped me weigh them logically before deciding which brake package to purchase. Finally, they installed new taillights that are beautiful and function perfectly! Absolutely will choose THIS Brakes Plus over other locations! read more
