It's a scam, they set up the first part and then stop replying and contacting you, and if you decide to get a lawyer good luck cus they said there's nothing to do for a refund or any compensation read more

I came across BrainyApps while searching for a company to help turn my app idea into an actual app. They just finished making my app, and my experience with them was great overall. BrainyApps have been responsive and helpful from the beginning of the process all the way to the end. I particularly liked that they gave their own suggestions for the best way to develop certain features of my app because I am not very tech savvy. They also gave me a price that was lower than most of the other companies I contacted. Highly recommended. read more

I have been working with Brainy Apps on making my app for the past several months and am quite pleased with them. I am currently in the Blueprint phase, which is where they design my app's features and show how it will look when completed. So far, I really like the work they have done and am excited for the final step of actually coding the app. In particular, I found the company to be quite responsive and helpful with putting it all together. Since I have never made an app before, I appreciate the hand holding. Can't wait to get my app launched in the store! read more

John Edward Lakatis is a scam artist. when he owned zapparoo, they promised me huge things with my app spirit dice. I paid them $17,000 of my hard earned money and they told me that Kim Kardashian app made a million overnite with her app and I could easily make 400,000 dollars a month as an app owner. they said they would get my app in IOS and Android and it was immediately taken out of Android as soon as it got on there and that's what I paid for. also I never got the codes to my app. and they don't tell you that. so if the app goes big they own it. shame on this because I usually like Greek people but he's a shame to the country of Greece too. owner of the app spirit dice. bad karma comes to those who pull the wool over peoples eyes and take all there money with no intention to help them at all. read more

Paid 70k for a App that runs decently but still has flaws. Paid an additional $1k for some upgrades and was ghosted by the entire staff after they took this money. They will call nonstop for any balance owed, but not return emails or phone calls if u need assistance. We have had a unresolved issue for 5 months for services we paid for. They have Ghosted us and took our money at this current time. Considering taking this to court if it's not resolved read more

I've been working with Brainy Apps over two years to create an app. it's been an overly long process. When the team would say they would have XYZ done by XYZ it was always multiple weeks up to months pushed back. I gave them full payment upfront. They are claiming to be done with my project yet have not fixed crucial issues that are making it a non-user-friendly app. I'd like to believe I did not get scammed but...... Evidence is pointing elsewhere. I am hoping this app can be salvaged with a different reputable, honest, and ethical company. Like everything else in life...... Lesson learned. I too, am out half a years income and will be suing. read more

I invested 24,000 dollars to develop an application and they do not answer emails or calls they do not appear anywhere I have been working on this project for more than 5 years and I could not finish it because they scammed me, they stole all my savings and the trust of the relatives who trusted me and helped me with the investment read more

These scammers should be ashamed of themselves. Had them work on a app for YEARS that till this day is barely operable. Gave up on it. Very expensive lesson. Did research on this company and it's founders once it was too late, John Edward Lakatis has many lawsuits you could find on Google along with his partners. read more

The only frustration in this business venture has been BrainyApps. We have had to make the decision to shut down our app, this was the last straw when it came down to a mistake like this...and I most certainly do not take it lightly when it comes to people's money and accounts. Your Facebook example is great, but we aren't a social media platform. We are a transaction based, buyer/seller platform. There is no room for a mistake like coding the seller's funds to go back to the buyer. IF we would have had thousands of users that would have been a nightmare. This is our issue, we are thinking ahead and seeing the liability that is being created for us, due to your lack of competence. This entire process has been a nightmare to say the least. Your company took a year and half longer to even complete our app, horrible communication and it wasn't until we wrote a bad review to the BBB that your upper management stepped in to actually get the project completed. Unfortunately now that we know we are pretty much stuck with you guys (because no other company will help you once your app has been built by someone else), this forces us to have no other choice. We have no faith in your company, your main concern is sucking more money out of people so you can send the work to your coders in another country, and leave people and their apps like sitting ducks......fine, great...we no longer want any part of it...your business ethics are unacceptable and I do hope justice comes for your company, because the days of doing business like this is coming to an end...you keep people reeled in just enough to not give up after they have invested thousands of dollars, and produced a sloppy product. Game over, no longer going to play. read more

They lie, cheat & steal... They worked on my app for years with broken promises... eventually they just won't respond to you..and you won't see any of your money back.. read more

Our app took over 3 years, $26,000 later and have an app that is worthless. Once they get all your money, communication becomes less and less. Our app doesn't even function correctly, so many bugs and issues. Every software company in the states out sources their coders like middlemen. Recommend going to the source to get you app done, I wished I would've done that. Talk about a waste of hard earned money saved, time wasted, and they suck at communication. At times it would take them weeks to respond. I'm too mad to even keep writing. I'm done. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! They take advantage of peoples dreams. I started this app in 2017. They said it would take 3-4 mnths. Its now 2021. In the store not able to purchase, was told to tell customers to go around it to my website that "Apple wont find out they never check" Old equipment my website went down for years. I paid my own coders to help them, they cost me wasted years and alot of money. They are not professional and when they don't know how to fix something they dont respond. When I disputed additional fees they charged so that I would have access to my own website co owner said " As part owner of the company I have every right to be involved. The amount that you have been charged is for partial payment of this months server and a service fee. You apparently dont understand the amount and of time and money that you cause our company. If you choose to do a charge back we will then have no other choice but to stop our services" You are stuck because they have your money and app. So without the money you have no app and the app they give is either not completed or not working correctly. They are rude and do not respond. They have now said in 2021 that my website is expired and I have to create another app. They moved my website from Godaddy in 2017 where it was safe to their server where it kept crashing for years. Now in 2021 they say it expired to start a new app... sooooo more money?? What ANOTHER 4 years!!!! I have gone to someone else that said I should've known it doesnt take 5 years to create and app. I am not tech smart, they take advantage of people. They make you sign paperwork so you cant sue. Look at all the reviews they are all the same. You get an app that doesnt work. They take your money, dont respond and try to frustrate you and give you something that doesn't work so you go somewhere else. They win every time, but its wrong and they will eventually be stopped. Please read the reviews if you have a dream go to a reputable company, don't let them waste years of your time and money. read more

I'm getting a lawyer. They are the worst app company. Do not hire them. They went bankrupt and now they won't answer me to release my app.

I paid over 34 thousand dollars for my app in August of 2019 and it's still not live. They were working on it at a decent pace in the beginning and would respond in a timely manner. Then communication slowly came to an end. I called several times and emailed several times over a period of months and no one would respond. In March of 2022 I posted a negative review on TrustPilot and miraculously someone responded to my emails. They said my app was complete but it still wasn't transferred over to me. Apple was to blame. So now they are supposedly working to get my app finalized and transferred over to me. I also asked for the source code and it's encrypted so I asked again. April 7th was the last time I heard anything. I have emailed several times since then and I have not been responded to. I can't wait for this nightmare to be over!!!!! I have tons of pictures to prove it. read more

Brainnyapps is the worst company that you can chose for your App. They will charge you between 25k and 35k for the App that's worthless. They don't know anything. When i brought up my idea to them, they are like it will cost you around 15k and then nightmare starts.. At the end the total cost was 28k and guess what? I got worthless app, that some JUNIOR can make it literally for 1000$.. I had to find another company and pay all over again to re do App completely. When they saw the App they could not believe what Brainnyapp charge me for. It was plain app with old platform, Brainny apps still uses ADMIN which is old school, these guys were laughing what worthless App i got for 28k.. they had to do everything again from the start.. In a meantime they were asking Brainnyapps for Facebook SDK, Access codes, so we can transfer the App to the new server, do marketing etc.. Brainnyapps HAD NO IDEA what these guys wanted from them in order to do update and transfer the App. It cost me soooo much stress getting all these things and i am still missing some things.. i called this guy Gus 10 times already, he is ignoring me, because he does not have interest anymore, he can't squeeze me for the money.. As long as you pay to them, they will answer the phone, once you pay off you App FORGET ABOUT THEM ANYMORE.. I have sent 100 emails so far, nothing.. So laaame. At one point i wanted to give up and let the App go and pay everything over again, could no deal with ignorant people anymore. Finally when we sent them STEP by STEP instructions how to get us what we need, i finally got it, but still missing some things. Brainnyapps does not know ANYTHING about Apps, they charge you a lot of money and then they pay some people in India and China 25% of what you pay to them to build you the App.. Please stay away from these folks and save money for yourself, don't get burned like i did..Do it yourself is better option to make your App then pay to them 30k for nothing. Remember my words, you will be dissapointed.. read more

Brainnyapps makes the worst apps on the market. Their apps are not usable.. I made the biggest mistake trusting these clowns and liers, they wanted to charge me DOUBLE at the end, the what we agreed, so i did not get all i wanted and i am stuck now. Don't have funds to complete the app. They only have good marketing, saying "you have idea, we will turn it into million dollars" biggest lies. They are hidding everything from people, saying just what you want to hear. A few Brainnyapps employees left them and i got email from them, not to deal with them anymore, they are not honest, that's why poeple leaving them left and right. My worst experience in my life, dealing with somebody.. STAY AWAY, you will be left with no money with half project done.. read more

I used brainyapp company to design my small easy app and this process started 3 years ago and they have yet to give me a working app. I would never ever in my entire life recommend this company for anything. They customer service department is horrible and thats if you can get in touch with anyone.. Please heed my warning and never use this company to develop an app for you. I would ha e been better off drawing cartoon characters it would have been done quicker.. please don't use them. read more

Scam. Tried it years ago. They won't give you an actual price unless you go through each step, so you never know what you're going to pay. They outsource the work to people in the Far East you can't understand. They have very deceptive practices and I would say they are scam artists. Please stay away from them or you will lose your money. read more

Do not trust this company they want to promise you an NDA that is so generic and then steal your idea and tell you that someone else can come out with a similar idea if You've ever heard of Uber and Lyft. They are thieves do not trust them! I made the mistake of sharing my unique idea for an App with them Sunday and I had to ask for my NDA which I received on Wednesday and it wasn't specific to my App. The are crooks! The guy Gus told my I have a demand for my App idea and just when I started to question the intellectual property of my App he became defensive and told me someone else can come up with the same and I explained how coincidental would that be if I only disclosed it you because I thought your company was trustworthy? Be careful! They are Pirates! I made copies on Sunday so I have proof for my intellect property but I wouldn't want anyone else to be their next victim. read more

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. If you are looking to get scammed out of thousands of dollars, you've found the right place. Not only has the founder of this company filed for bankruptcy through his other business known as "Zapporoo," but he, along with his several co-workers have mastered the art of convincing people that "BrainyApps," is the place to leave your brilliant idea for a new app to be created. Little does everyone know, you're leaving your idea in the hands of thieves who are not only going to take your idea, but they'll happily take your money as well. The sad part is, it's all a giant SCAM. People may be convinced otherwise when they are told over the phone, "your idea sounds amazing, we get hundreds of submissions weekly so even if your idea doesn't get approved by our team, we will happily take the steps to point you in the right direction." The best part is the call back after 24-48 hours when they tell you, "we are happy to announce that your idea was approved and we would like to move forward." Making it seem as though they chose yours over "ALL" those other submissions. Please don't make the same mistake I did, luckily I only made one payment with them and just got off the phone with my credit card company who will hopefully be getting the money back to me. I feel horrible for the other people who have actually confided in them and realized after giving $20,000 that it's all a giant scam. If you're convinced otherwise, do your research because I didn't and when I did I was BLOWN AWAY. Check Twitter, check Instagram, with their 2,000+ followers that they can only receive 8 likes on. It's all a crock of S***. BrainyApps, sorry to blow your cover but it's time people learn the truth about your "business." read more

I went with brainy apps finding them on the web, i had initially discussed and told them i was interested in making an emoji app and my budget was 10 thousand dollars, they told me yes, we can definitely try and make it in that range, they did a solid job of making what i intended and had discussed with them about my app and was happy with how it was looking, only for them to come back with a quote for 40 thousand to do the coding. I had told them my budget was 10 thousand, after already taking my 4 thousand dollars. And then telling me it will take an extra 6 to 7months with 2 months we already did, for a simple emoji app. I started reading reviews and realized I couldn't trust these people, you also see how they respond to criticism and instead of acknowledging their own mistakes tgey just fight back and say they did a great job. I just don't find this to be a high quality company. read more

Didn't waste your time there start up fee is $395 they call it a brainstorming phase after that you don't know what your app will cost you. Then when you ask the sales guy questions about cost for second phase he was very rude, disrespectful, and he used Mr sale guys famous quote (I can loss my job). Good way to redirect the question. Smh. To get me off the phone he quoted me ridiculous quote like 60 to 100 grand. What a jerk!!!! So stay away from asking what is the around about coding prices??!!!! The sales guy will loss his cool !!! I will find someone else. Good luck read more
