It was very easy to schedule via their website. It's school season, but somehow I found a back to back appt with the amazing Tricia for me & my 14yr old stepson, but don't be discouraged if your time isn't available, it's worth the wait.
We w're in desperate need of a haircut/makeover. The summer had not been kind to our hair. We were pleasantly greeted by Jess (I'm sorry if I got that wrong), who offered coffee, tea or water. They had snacks (good snacks too) & wifi password at the ready.
Kid got his hair chopped first & I mean chopped, he was a new person. He was comfortable & communicative with Tricia, which, teenager, says a lot! Go just based on that. He was thrilled with his haircut, an honest ear to ear smile. Tricia took her time, did Exactly what he asked & gave him suggestions & some direction.
Next, me, dry, brittle, middle-aged hair, that's sad, flat, grey, & lifeless (life lol). I spewed out all the things I hated about my hair & what I wanted, "please help me". Tricia helped me. I love my cut. She listened and suggested, but never pressured.
The salon was clean & organized. The other stylists were just as helpful & pleasant. I was comfortable there.
The price is comparable to other salons in the area, if anything, a bit less expensive then I was expecting for 2 cuts, shampoo & style. Please do not forget to tip. This should not be an uncomfortable topic. We live in the US, we tip to show our appreciation & gratitude. These folks have over-head, but still need a living wage, their time is worth something just as much as yours.
I highly recommend Julep Hair Boutique, I don't believe you could wrong with any of the stylist, but ours....Tricia, you guessed it, was masterful.
