When I hit mid-thirties, I felt like all a sudden my body was failing me. I couldn't drop weight like I had previously no matter how hard I tried. I had body composition testing done, worked out, followed my mean plan, took all the recommended supplements, and sure I'd drop maybe 5-10lbs but never anymore and would always gain it back. It's been 2 weeks since I stopped taking the "healthy" supplements that they put me on. Finally my liver is returning to normal. Bragg weight loss does not monitor your health but luckily my primary did My primary dr is the one that had my blood work done when I started having problems on this program. "Dr" Bragg is not a MD. It is not a safe process. If you do this make sure you have a MD to follow you Now Bragg weightloss will not refund all my money. Here is Braggs last message to me This was after I gave him the opportunity to refund my money or go to court My my you and your threats . You know I have treated thousands and you are the first one that's threatening court. We have very few that don't follow through. You have been so untruthful in your comments. This place is an absolute scam. Do not waste your hard earned money here. The diet almost killed my husband. It consist of a 600 calorie diet and a ton of supplements. I was referred by a friend to Bragg Weight Loss center. When I arrived, the center was in a nice location and the staff was nice. I met Dr Bragg and made a $957 payment to begin the program. On Day Two of taking the supplements that come with the program, I developed significant stomach pain and diarrhea. I notified Dr Bragg. He told me to stop all supplements. I did stop for two days. I then began taking the supplements on Day 5 of the program, having gone two days with no supplements. On Day 5, I once again began having significant stomach pain and diarrhea. Once again, I told Dr Bragg. He advised me to stop all supplements and come in to his office. I did that. But his staff told me to go home before I met him because I was in so much pain. I went to my primary care physician the next day. They advised me to stop the program immediately. They said that something in the supplements was having a bad effect on my condition. You see, I have Diabetes Type II. I told Dr Bragg that she I first met him, before I paid to begin the program. I noticed Dr Bragg that my doctor told me to stop the program. Dr Bragg said he would let me out of my contract with him (I was scheduled to make another $957 payment to him). But Dr Bragg NEVER offered to refund me the first $957. This seems so unfair to me. The supplements in the program caused real harm to my system. I never even got a chance to do the program. The supplements in the program hurt me. I couldn't do it. I saw Dr Bragg's ad on tv & went to his complimentary consultation to investigate what it was all about. In recent times I had recently had some life events & injuries that led me to gain a significant amount of weight that I no longer felt comfortable in my own body. I don't take meds or anything but I could tell my body was not happy & if I didn't take substantial measures to fix my health.. well I knew it was time. The office staff were very efficient & very welcoming & the office is clean & all are there to answer questions. My meeting with Dr. Bragg was wonderful. He is intelligent & I saw that he truly has a desire to help people get healthy thru meeting their weight loss goals. He doesn't force you he asks what your level of commitment is to making changes. Change is not necessarily easy and a lot of people make up excuses why they want to stay where they are, which is fine (we are all in different places). He respects the choice that you make, but then is there to make sure that you stick to with the commitment you decide to make. he sends text messages every day to me personally nothing long but very effective short encouragements and I appreciate this. This is not a man who is rude nor uncaring, but I would argue the contrary. My husband met with Dr. Bragg for a consultation recently and had a horrible experience. He was disrespectful, inconsiderate, arrogant and down right rude. This is the first time my husband has actually reached out for help managing his weight so it was sad that was his first experience. The first words Dr. Bragg said after meeting him were something like, wow, you need me. He would cut him off mid-sentence saying, "stop, stop, stop" and that happened a couple times. After finding out I am a nurse practitioner he said he couldn't believe I didn't stay on him all the time, insinuating that as a medical professional, I should harass him about his weight I guess. I'm not sure that he understands that you cannot make another person do something they don't want to do or maybe they don't feel like they can do it. Pointing out the obvious and making rude comments is not the way to encourage and help someone. I don't know who he thinks he has helped in the past using that method but my guess is, not very many. Weight loss is a struggle for a lot of people and it can be a sensitive topic because there are often a lot of emotions associated with obesity and being overweight. I think he would be better suited for a career that doesn't involve patient interaction. read more
