Brad and his crew showed up between 5:30-6:00 a.m. ready to work every day until the roofing was completed. Work days were really hot, but that did not detour the crew from working until mid-afternoon. When there was rain, they would wait it out if it was a brief shower or work through if it was just a sprinkle. Their skill, hard work, positive attitudes, working as a group and kindness showed up daily.
The tear-off was remarkable to watch. The whole crew knew exactly what their job was for the day before arriving. The ground was prepared with tarps to catch any debris that was not caught by their lift dump. At the end of each day was clean-up, which included people pushing magnetic nail rollers and picking up any debris they could find.
New singles were delivered the day after tear-off and the crew worked to strategically placed them where they would be needed to install. Once the new shingles started to go on, I heard a loud voice say, "Everyone put your (nail) guns down now!" Brad found a quality issue with the singles. He imminently called the manufacture, while sitting on my roof, to check the lot number for any recalls. I was so glad he was there, because the shingles were sent back to the supplier and a different supplier had new shingles delivered that same day by 2:00 p.m.
No time was wasted, the crew continued with work that would prepare them for the next day. Despite the very hot day at 2:00 p.m., the crew unloaded the blemish free shingles on the roof.
First day of shingling, Brad had a crew of 11 to install as much roofing as possible, because rain was in the forecast and he wanted the roof to be in the dry.
My steep roof was not an easy job, the very old shingles were slick and I had 2 new custom ordered skylights to fit the same rough opening as the old Anderson skylights. I was impressed with the skill and care that Butch, Chris, Mike, and JR took when removing and installing the 2 skylights so as to not damage the inside house ceiling drywall or trim.
I am a particular homeowner and when I had concerns or questions, Brad and each crew member I was speaking to took notice and worked with me to help or explain. I am appreciative of the hard work each and every crew member put in to make my roof look great and leak free! read more
