I visited the Boulevard for the first time a few weeks ago. It had been a LONG time since I stepped…read moreout of a barber/salon and was 100% happy with my experience. Right as I walked in, I got a friendly hello from a few of the staff, and my wait time was virtually non-existent. However, the real MVP of my first visit was my barber Audrey (she goes by Archery). I only had to use a few key words/phrases for her to understand the look I was going for. During my time in the chair, she was super friendly. I quickly assessed that Archery knew exactly what she was doing. Overall, fantastic first visit to the Boulevard, and definitely won't be my last. If you make this your barber, make sure you ask for Archery!

I visited Boulevard Barber & Style today for a haircut. The sign clearly said "walk-ins are…read morewelcome," so I went in and sat down. However, no one acknowledged me. After waiting for a while, another gentleman walked in after me, and a barber immediately started cutting his hair. At that moment, I felt uncomfortable and disappointed. As someone from another country, it made me wonder if I was being treated differently based on my background. I got frustrated and decided to leave. As I was heading out, one of the barbers stopped me and asked why I was leaving. I explained the situation. He asked if I had an appointment, and I said no. He then told me I was actually next, which convinced me to come back in. While I was returning, I overheard the barber who had taken the other customer mention he had another appointment coming up. That made me feel like he was intentionally avoiding taking me as a customer. Thankfully, another barber stepped in and offered to take care of me. Derriance Hughes ended up doing my haircut and beard trim, and I have to say--he did an excellent job. I was very satisfied with the result. He was professional, attentive, and delivered exactly what I wanted. Going forward, I will return to this shop only if Derriance is available. I've taken his contact and will book appointments directly with him to avoid confusion. Overall Rating: (4/5) Great service from Derriance, but the initial experience could have been handled much better. If I experience anything like this again, I will reconsider my rating.

Shreeve did my cut, and it was a wonderful experience, he was fun to talk with and very skilled (8 years as a barber, and he trained in Egypt, where his whole family are in the trade). They offer a variety of services that I don't see at most places in Nashville, in particular, what I will call ear and nose hair management. Such a shame.... my son said the facility is real nice and close to his high rise. He walked in and not one person acknowledged or said a single word to him. He asked where to check in and they just pointed for him to have a seat. Five minutes later another customer walked in he was acknowledged and greeted and taken back immediately. My son waited for a long time. When the barber finally came to get him, no greeting or acknowledgment from him what so ever. The year is 2026 correct or did we go back in time? A statement on your website says "no BS" well I beg to differ. My son has never felt more uncomfortable or alienated before. It was a crash course for him about what you need to "look like" in order to get service. We are from Texas so southern hospitality is a main staple in our households. Needless to say he will NOT recommend or come back.
