The teachers are great and always quick to respond. You can always get someone on the phone or email and get things sorted out fast. They also have a program Hawks for advansed kids. What really stands out here is how they handle communication with parents. It's way better then anywhere else. Every time I had a question, it got answered in minutes, not hour. Also, big props to the woman who answer the phone at the front desk - she's awesome! Seriously, I never seen a school do this part so good. And about grades - if a kid don't wanna learn, they won't do well anywhere. If they're motivated, they'll find a way to learn, even in the middle of no where with no books or teachers. The school's job isn't to motivate them - that's up to the parents.

It has a large, shaded playground, far from the main road. The classrooms are well stocked with learning materials and play items. This is one of the last true preschools around and it is a St. Pete treasure for sure.

They have family movie nights where they play popular movies on a big screen under the stars and provide popcorn and drinks (free). They have plays that the kids watch during school hours. They have music classes, chapel, garden walks, magicians... I don't think there's anything this school doesn't have. Parents provide snacks for the class - which is a plus if you want to control the amount of junk your child eats. They have grandparents day celebrations, breakfast with daddy for father's day and a mother's day concert. There is always something going on here making this place so much more than a daycare but rather a community. While it is Christian based it is not overly pushy or in your face. None of the events I have attended have referenced faith. While there I was on the parent's advisory counsel which allows parents to be in the "know" and have their concerns voiced... and the Director. Mr. Cote is a model director. Always in the classrooms, on the playground, that man is NOT afraid of getting his hands dirty for his school. I had not 1 complaint. This is unlike any daycare I've ever experiences and if you have an opportunity to join - MAKE IT HAPPEN. My child has learned so much and I feel so lucky to be a PCCS parent.

I know exactly what my daughter is doing during the day, because they follow a very clear schedule, accessible to the parents, and a wonderful faith-based curriculum. Remind you there is no reviews good or bad about this school. When I was in the 2 year old room the first caregiver was not wearing a bra. Keeping an open mind. There is probably a logical explanation. The second caregiver sat in a chair and just gave directions and never got up to interact with the kids. She was not disabled. Again, keeping an open mind. The playground needed some work. Still not a deal breaker. So, the day of registration I bring my son in and I was greeted with "you didn't bring any diapers." I did. I left them in the car until I finished getting my son registered. Which I explained to her. (He is 18 months) I went into the baby room to talk to the administrator. As I was speaking to her, one of the caregivers immediately disciplined the baby by yelling at him. There was no calm talk or redirecting done first. As we continued to talk the same woman yelled again and yanked the boy by his arm. I thought I was going to snap. I feel the administrator is well aware of this woman's actions. It clearly is not her first time. Especially, if you can't even put up a front in the presents of a parent. I told them that I do not agree with how they discipline the children. She asked me why and I explained and the woman that did the reprimanding said to me that she just moved the child away from the other. If I can pick out the two children involved out of the 10 other children in there, I think I can tell the difference between removing the child and just being plan mean and abusive. I do not ever write reviews. This time warrants it as a warning for any parent trusting another individual to care for your child.

It seems as if a majority of the "professors" aren't that good. So you have to really utilize ratemyprofessor.com and talking to people to find the good professors. The administrative staff is very difficult to deal with as well. It seems as if the student is the one that always ends up having to do the job of the person that is supposed to help you. So when I applied to University of South Florida, it was a blessing to see people actually doing their jobs. In terms of service, I would give this school 0 stars but it's worth the frustraition if you want to save some money. Just try and get out of there ASAP because I've been there 4 years and I am just about done. I have been lucky enough to have good teachers to help me get this far though.
