When I inquired, it turned out the beans were from a small farm in Uganda. My wife enjoyed her coffee with milk, oddly I was so satisfied with the espresso I didn't try hers. Those beans were from a small farm in Columbia. The cardamom and fig gluten free coffee cake was also good. Service was great and we were able to sit and talk.

On a weekday afternoon it was almost impossible to get a table. At least that's what I assumed... I could not get any of the workers to talk to me for more than a second to fill me in on our chances of being seated inside or out. Fortunately, one server running by took pity on my confused self and told us we could come sit in his section outside despite the fact he was not really wanting to add another table to his load. We were not sure if we wanted to stay after being ignored for so long but decided to stick it out after his nice gesture. Since the poor guy was running up and down the block handling the entire outside section, it was almost impossible to get his attention but we eventually had some food in front of us. We tried their version of a bacon cheddar hamburger which was pretty good but what I loved was the special Verano Rojo salad with fresh watermelon, basil, tomato, feta and vinaigrette. In a city where great salads are far and few between, this was a welcome addition to the meal. Overall, the experience and food was fine but nothing that I would jump to make a reservation for (and I would definitely reserve next time).

The service was attentive (for Spanish standards). What I ordered: they had a couple of drink + dessert options for 10€ so I got a mojito and carrot cake. The carrot cake was so yummy! Not the best ever, and I wish there was a little more icing, but still really good! The mojito was great, but there was sooooo much ice. I really didn't feel like I got much of an actual drink. There are plenty of classic cocktail options! The prices are average I would say. They had a couple of small savory options. My friend got some smoked salmon toast which she said was good! This is a great place to have a fairly quiet drink with a friend! I know they also have breakfast so I will be back to try it sometime!

I was jet lagged and stumbled upon this place while looking at Yelp in the morning. I opted to order the Banana Coffee and Salmon Breakfast Bagel, which came out to roughly $22 USD. The coffee itself looked amazing, taste wise I would say it's good not great. I wish it had more banana sweetener or was creamier, but that's probably my American taste buds talking. The Salmon Breakfast Bagel was delicious, would order again. Overall I would say a good experience, they spoke English which was nice. Would I go again? Yes!

So glad that we found it because the everything was amazing. A small coffee & dessert shop that's very unique with an urban but home-like feeling. The owner was there to open and speaks English so that really made it comfortable for us to select what to eat. She gave us her recommendations on what to try being that you couldn't visually see what was inside most of the pastry items and the menu was in Spanish. I assume that it isn't a dog friendly venue...one of the patrons sat their dog outside while they enjoyed coffee. Their selections of pastries are endless; From cakes, to donuts, tarts, quiches, meat pies, meat empanadas, etc. I'm sad that I didn't try any of the sweets, but I did order the smoked salmon & queso cream cheese sandwhich, along with their puff pastry of spinach (my favorite) & beef & chicken empanadas. Light & small but shareable as my girlfriend and I enjoyed every last bite & toasted with a cup of coffee!
