Such a treat to find a gluten free bakery while in Hamburg! After missing breakfast (no gf options…read morewhere I was), I went to Isabella just after lunch and loaded up on goodies that were safe for me to eat: a roll for the train ride the next day, a cherry crumble because I couldn't resist, and a delicious little personal-size quiche and a coffee for right then.
Because it is set up as a pop-up, they only have a microwave for warming things. I think I would have had the quiche cold if I realized that. Otherwise, everything was just perfect for this celiac traveler. Of note: the young woman at the counter spoke English (my German was not sufficient to make cure that this was safe for someone with celiac) and reassured me that it was truly gluten free, made in a dedicated kitchen. Oh- and if you need the WC, ask for the key at the counter.
