Because is always cheaper here than in the city......period. Yes, Yes, I know, most place stuck in the boonies are just there to rip you off because you have no choice, but this one prices their gas where it probably should be in America, hence my loyalty. (Note....there is a little trick to this business....it is really part of Aligs Shell Service Station at 28920 State Route 1...just up the road, but this one is just off the highway and across from an Exxon. Also, pumping gas provides this a 28205 address, while my red bull purchase indicated the 28920 address? Hmm.....a mystery indeed.

In addition, they have a deli counter that makes subs and pizzas. I stopped for coffee this morning. The coffee is brewed fresh and it was very good. I also picked up a breakfast burrito and that was awful. (I gotta learn to stay away from gas station food). I couldn't decipher the contents and gave up after one bite. I also picked up a few lottery tickets. They carry local newspapers, local donuts, fire wood, greeting cards, snacks and have a cooler dedicated to Red Bull. The restrooms have seen better days. There is plenty of parking out front.

Naturally I pulled over to inspect the car, and couldn't it to start at a gas station. After getting a jump I was a couple miles from an auto store I punched in when my car decided to stop running and the pedals became unresponsive. Drifting on no power on this "backroad" I turned right into the first driveway I could find, miraculously it was Quality Auto Mart. They were so caring and accommodating as they switched out my battery in hopes that was the issue, we quickly found out it was the alternator. The general manager personally drove to a surrounding store to pick up the alternator and they got it switched out in no time, for a very fair price. I cannot say enough how appreciative I am of them to get me taken care of in a fast and timely manner. They truly are great people and if I lived in Batesville I would go to them for anything.
