In addition, this station has one thing that sets it apart from some stations in the area and that would be the fact that it is full-service, whereas most of the other stations are self-service. While I do not pumping my own gas at all and I actually enjoy it, its nice to sometimes take a break and not worry about it. Pulling up to this Getty at the northeast corner of Union Avenue and School Street, one will find that access is easy, as there is enough room between pumps to get around the station as well as two entrances and exits from Union Avenue and School Street, making for safe and easy access. Once you are at the pumps, they are the old-fashioned kind, as they don't have digital indicators for price per gallon and gallons pumped, but they work just fine and they look cool! When I get gas here, Walter, an average size, middle-aged gentleman with black hair who I think is the owner of this station, usually pumps my gas and he is always jovial, polite, and efficient. In addition to the gas, there is a repair shop, which I have not used and a very small mini-mart, which is OK with me as I usually only get gas when I go to the gas station. Overall, this is another solid option for gas in the Westbury area.

Either way It's Costco gas, the workers are friendly, fast and keep the lines going. This Costco gas isn't quite as big as the one I normally frequent in Union, which is interesting I like The Wayne Costco, but prefer Union's Gas. This is simply because there are three pumps for each line up as opposed to two here which really slows things down. Still it's Costco gas and that means it's good prices but if you're really in a hurry you could go down the road.

The machines function well and the overall station is clean and well lit. The staff is usually friendly, if you must pay with cash, but if paying by card you don't really need them. The configuration of the entrances make entering a little awkward, especially if it's your first time. It is tucked away into a circular, often desolate, drive that leads to an intersection between St Nicholas Avenue and Manhattan Avenue. However, since it is in a corner, this should not be a huge issue. It is rarely full, in my experience, but the wait time is little to none during the late afternoon/early evening times. However, this may be due to the location. Overall, I am glad that this station is here for my, and the community's, use.

Three days ago, when I stopped by to get gas, I scanned BJ's card and selected regular, but I noticed that the pump was charging me for premium gas. I tried to get the attendant(in his glass room) to help solve the problem or at least explain what was going on. He stared at me several times and then just turned his face away. I stopped pumping and went over to him to ask why I was being charged for premium instead of what I selected, and why there was no paper in the pump (as usual). He was extremely rude and adversarial, yelling from inside his booth that I should file a complaint with management. When I asked him--again--why the pumps NEVER have paper, he told me to look up the management's number and speak to them myself. He even refused to give me his name. I will not be giving them any more business. Even though the price is a bit lower, the operation and customer service are horrible.

This place is in a pretty rough neighborhood and I've built a good rapport with the owners and staff. The customer service is always stellar for me and it's generally a pleasant experience. The people are very nice and personable. However, sometimes a few of the staff have a tendency to go back and forth with irate customers. With all that said I'll be back again and again be because I love the people.
