I prefer filling up here than at, say, Morrissons because although the price is the same, you know what you're putting in your car when you fill up at Shell. I really think that this fuel goes further than supermarket stuff. There's a cashmachine to the side of the shop too.

this shell garage is at the end of the oxford road on the roundabout with norcot road…read more always has petrol one or two pence cheaper than the near by competitors. decent shop too. you can buy newpapers, drinks and snacks in the shop. also this is open twenty four hours a day so midnight shopping is possible. the Shell reward points card which offers one pence back for every two litres of fuel purchased also helps to keep the cost down. I don't want to push the boat out here, but this is definitely my second favorite Shell garage in Reading after the Basingstoke road one.

Outside there's two ATMs. Staff are helpful and courteous. The only downside is that the exit from the service station is awkward, it's close to a roundabout on the main A4 with heavy traffic.

They not only anxious to please, but go out of their way to do the extra things such as directions on their on mobiles; how rare! Free ATM, liquor, wine, Lochmuir smoked salmon, magazines galore, flower shop. The U.S. Needs to study this concept of service a bit. They were called "service stations" in days of yore but nomore, nomore.

Either that, or you live in Nettlebed and want to use the "village store" - which is what the petrol station has become. And don't I hate that even more.
