When asked about the mandate and lack of masks, three employees huddled together at the register talking told me to go somewhere else and then my asthmatic child and I were followed out of the store by a patron coughing at us. Not the safest place for an interstate highway gas up and bathroom break at this time. This is the ONLY place we stopped on our 300 mile journey through multiple states that was not following or enforcing the mandates. Unfortunately as a truck stop, it's one of the most important places to have following it. If the employees are stocking, breathing, coughing on things unmasked, they would easily spread droplets to food and goods and then unsuspecting patrons are unknowingly exposed.

Over the last week they have raised all of their prices by 25% and showing that local traffic is definitely unwelcome. It is easy enough to stop in Portage (a few miles south on I-39), or Westfield (a few miles north on I-39) for friendlier service and more (not to mention less expensive) options. If you are traveling east to west, you will undoubtedly find better options to the west in Oxford and to the East in Montello. Of course, people who just need to stop along the highway will still get scammed by this place.

Honestly wasn't expecting much and didn't know if I had the right place but then I saw Sherriff coming out. I knew it was going to be good. I had their 5.99 fish fry. You get 3 pieces of haddock but that is the only thing that I took a star away from. They were not very big and served on a plastic plate. What I did love is the taste. It was fresh not fishy old tasting. The breading was just right and not oily. Yeah the FF did have a little fish taste but it was so remote I didn't think about it. The price was right on. Just a suggestion I would rather pay $1 more to have 4 pieces or the option of all you could eat fish. The lady I had as a waitress was awesome. Just wish I knew her name. Didn't like the rude behavior of another waitress who had blond hair and glasses saying she doesn't work Friday nights or fish. Her behavior was a big turn off. Actually cut another person off when they ran up the bill like I am the only person who can help them. Bull! My waitress came to check on me several times while that other one just mouthed off. She would not be my first choice to return. What a find! Next time I will stop for breakfast before I hit the local stores.
